Do not recommend! Receptionist was insulting and management held no responsibility for the abhorrent behaviour of staff

I stayed at The Sebel Malvern in January the night before my wedding and the days after (2 penthouses for 2 nights ). We also had 10-15 rooms booked for our guests to stay the night of the wedding. Unfortunately not the greatest experience and I would not encourage anyone to stay here. Great location but very VERY poor customer service. The rooms for my family and my husbands family weren’t cleaned, Day of the wedding we tried to get some more champagne flutes as there was only 2 supplied for a 3 bedroom penthouse. The man at reception wouldn’t help us and gave a list of reasons. 1. His staff apparently couldn’t speak English, 2. He couldn’t do it himself as he had a sore leg, 3 There was a house inspection that day and they were busy. When my fiancé at the time asked if the receptionist could please print off his vows (he had forgotten to print it before the wedding) he was told bluntly no. Now this seems bad enough as is but this wasn’t the biggest issue we had. We then come to find out that when our wedding guests are arriving to check into their rooms at the hotel the male receptionist thought it appropriate to complain to OUR wedding guests about the grooms family being “difficult” with their requests on the day of our wedding. 5 different rooms with our guests had this receptionist complain to them about our family. On check out day we spoke to reception about our disappointment with the customer service and (I assume the same male receptionist) decides to inform my now husband that it was his families fault and THEN COMPLAINS TO US? We requested to speak to management and the receptionist refused to ask management to come from out the back. I emailed the general manager of our issues after the wedding as we had organised all our rooms through them. The response was luck lustre and more of a slap in the face. Unfortunately no resolution, no apology to my husband or his family for the disrespect and abhorrent behaviour from the hotel receptionist and no real response from management. Our family and friends are aware of what happened and all have changed any plans with the company of hotels due to the mismanagement and poor customer service that was shown. I would not recommend especially if you’re wanting it for a special event.

Perfect location for me whilst hubby was in hospital. Easy 20 min walk. Parking onsite, inc if you book direct and mention Cabrini. Friendly staff, accommodated early check in. One bedroom apartment had everything you could possibly need. kitchen; full size fridge, cooktop/oven, dishwasher and utensils/cookware. Washer, dryer, bathrobes. Bathroom full size amenities, very nice quality. Comfortable bed, big balcony overlooking suburb. Very quiet. Highly recommend.

The reason i booked the Sebel Malvern was due to me staying at their property in Perth. That was a great experience. Apart from the issue of having to Ask them to clean the room, the building was noisy being on a main road and had a funky smell in the building. Most mornings, there were residents slaming their doors. Had I have known that international Uni students permanently rented some of the apartments, I would definitely have not stayed there. I thought the Sebel were Holiday apartments. I don't need to see uni students wandering around in there pyjamas from floor to floor with their smelly Noodles while I'm on holiday. Maybe my fault for not booking a proper hotel, but I am thoroughly disappointed in this property. Never will I Ever recommend or stay at the Sebel Malvern again.

Amazing experience. The Staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were perfect for our small family. The beds were really comfortable and parking was a plus. Great Location. We will definetly be returning!

Es una pena que esté tan lejos del centro (unos 25 kms en coche) y en un barrio tan perdido y con poca vida (apenas un pequeño centro comercial con Supermercado cerca del hotel) porque sus Apartamentos son amplios y modernos. Con 2 baños completos y servicio amable. Eso sí, pasamos algo de frío por la noche ya que el aire/calefacción no era potentes. Ofrecen parking interior a buen precio. El aeropuerto está a media hora.
