Pros - location, helpful staff, room upgrade Cons - no hot water as heater not working well, poor food quality ( had a garden salad at lobby cafe and was v disappointed) In short, hotel is a bit old and is probably due for some renovation to upkeep.

1. I don't understand why whenever the elevator is so late. I used more than 15 times the elevator for 3 days. The average waiting time is 2~3 minutes. Very strange. during breakfast time, so many people were waiting the elevator. also when I took the elevator from 13th floor, every floor the elevator had been stopped. I saw 1 elevator was maintenance. however I don;t think the other 3 elevators were effectively worked. Again the hotel breakfast was very law quality comparing to the previous Radisson Blue what I already addressed this point before.

Executive Lounge closed. Sign at door to go to 3rd . Floor. New sign saying this one closed also. No info from reception related to this. Still charged in full for a service i did not get. This will be my last stay at this Hotel. Next time i will find another one.

at check in i asked if there was a club lounge as i have Platinum membership, the girl gave me sheet of paper saying on 30th floor and breakfast times. I went to find it closed for refurbishment, and sign to use 3rd floor restaurant,go there to find also closed, so no lounge. Why not just say that as check in. How crazy to give out sheet when lounge is closed. Phone in room does not work, and no laundry bags were left in room. Towels had holes in them. staff are distant like they don't care, Apart from that fine.

I remember that this hotel was name by 'Radisson Blue" before. If I give my opinion on my stay at this hotel, then it was much worse than before (Radisson Blue) 1). The employee level (Service and skill) was much worse than before. --No service mindset 2). The quality of breakfast was much worse than before 3). I felt that the number of guest was much less than before. I don't know why. Overall my opinion is that the level of hotel was quite much decreased.

Most of the rooms are not avialable which might cause you think the number of our hotel guests decreae. The renovation will be completed by the end of this year. Signage and access to the pool and gym should be clearer and easier. The wood deck surrounding the pool needs to be sanded or replaced. The door strip in our room door was falling off. The staff was prepared to leave our prepared Take-out breakfasts unrefrigerated, even though they contained foods that could spoil (hard boiled eggs and yogurt drinks), until I intervened and brought 20 eggs and yogurts into my room's refrigerator.

Me and my wife stayed here a year ago and unfortunately your hotel has gone south. We stayed a one night staycation as we live in Shanghai because of the nice pool and rooms, and yes they are nice. However the multiple failures made us leave with a disappointment. Here is the list: 1) You send this survey to my email as I booked the room and is the Accor member, but the greeting is directed to my wife (and with two spelling mistakes of her name). Not sure how you can mix this up. 2) On check-in (which took a fair amount of time due to checking both of our passports), as I am a Silver member, we got a drink coupon. Good but when trying to use it in the evening, the very nice man in the gar says that is only valid for one drink. Got a 2nd one in reception and we could finally both enjoy the beer. 3) Ordered pizza for lunch in your outdoor setting but several of the ingredients we ordered (according to the list) were missing and the cokes came without ice (which we asked for). Staff were hanging around inside so we didn't bother to raise it, which maybe we should have. 4) To get the pool towels we had to give our room card in the gym/pool reception. This I am not sure is a good practice as we are not supposed to leave our cards with someone else and without any receipt except the towels. When trying to get our card back upon returning the towels, they had mixed up the cards. The staff had to go downstairs to the reception to check which card was ours while we were waiting in the gym area. He was at least really apologetic. 5) The pool is very nice and there is a nice garden. Some paint and touch up on the outdoor area would not cost much and could give it a much better look and feel. That the lifeguards occupy one of the best spots in the shadow and under a plastic tent is perhaps not the best idea as it leaves less room for guests to stay in the shadow during this hot Shanghai summer. It is also hard to understand why you have to wear a swimcap when sitting on the pool edge with the feet in the water. That a pool maintenance staff comes and pour some powder in the pool and start taking measurements while guests are in the water is perhaps another bad idea. At least some information that it is nothing dangerous would be appreciated, or that guests are asked not to be in the pool when this is done. Or perhaps even better to do this procedure in the morning or evening when there are no guests in the pool. 6) As a Silver member I got the late check-out for 2 PM. However, you forgot to extend the room cards, so when I went up to the room to check out, the card doesn't work. I go to the reception, get it extended, or so I think. Go back to the elevators but still not working . Again back to reception for a 2nd try and only then it worked. I told your staff that my wife soon would come from the pool and they they can prepare for her card extension as we needed to check out. She comes, gets it fixed, or so she thinks. Doesn't work first time. Back to reception, only 2nd time it works. Seem like a systematic problem as it happens to us both. 7) Finally we are both in the room to get ready for check out. The cleaning staff obviously had not got information that we had a late check-out so they ring the bell wondering if we are to leave. I explain that we leave before 2 PM. A few minutes later front desk calls and asks the same, if we are checking out or not. If our cards had worked from the start, we would have already been out of the room. 8) Check-out. As my credit card had a problem, I had given a cash deposit on check-in. Check out goes as normal and then I get the receipt and that all is cleared. I had to ask to get the balance money back. The guy looked really embarrassed. Your staff is generally and quietly apologetic but it is simply too many mistakes. I don't know what is going on at your hotel, but clearly things are not working as it should. Perhaps you have a lot of new staff. Granted, some of your staff is very good, but for many of them I think you need to give them a lot more training before putting them in front of customers in a supposedly 5 star hotel according to your own rating. We had planned to come back for a 2nd stay to cool off in this hot summer, but we decided to stay away. Sorry, I normally don't give poor reviews but there is simply too many mistakes to just let it slide. Hope you can rectify the situation and quickly!
