The Sofitel was far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the city to feel like you were truly at a beach resort, but close enough to get into city, either by the convenient hotel shuttle or by taxi. The grounds were luxuriant and well maintained and we loved the peacock; breakfast was varied and delicious, and our room, spacious and clean. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We loved the pool but the pool staff need more training on several areas: cocktail making - cocktails were dreadful! Customer service ie clearing plates, glasses & towels. They also found and then LOST my daughters goggles because they hadn't put them in a safe place & said another guest must have taken them? They also had no idea about a lost and found system either at the pool or elsewhere in the hotel? Shame too that no happy hour at the actual pool bar but was available at the cliff bar who didn't have plastic glasses for poolside? Only decent coffee was at the cliff. Buffet breakfast was great. Pool facility was great - fabulous pool! Room was terrible! Over fancy and not practical. The sofa bed was broken so we had to have 2 put up beds in the room which was fine but then you couldn't move! Getting to the bathroom from the main bedroom, through the sitting room (which is used as a childs bedroom) was hard work! Bathroom design was small and not well thought out. Fish spa was fab. Actual main spa was fab. Overall a lovely 3 day staycation but could have been outstanding with a little staff training.

We arrived for a 1 night stay for my son's birthday. We first went for a prebooked afternoon tea. We waited for a long time to be seated so took the initiative to seat ourselves. Once we'd sat down we were asked to move as the table we had chosen was 'reserved for a birthday celebration'. This discussion descended into a lengthy & uncomfortable exchange which affected the mood of my family as we settled down to celebrate my son's birthday. Then when we checked in and were escorted to our bedroom, we entered the room and found 1 king sized bed whereas there were 3 of us in our party. The fact that there were 3 of us had been clear at the time of the booking. I was then told that to have an additional bed I would need to pay an additional charge... These 2 incidents reflected the overall feeling I was left with at your hotel - Customer isn't prioritised and the care taken to make our stay comfortable and pleasant wasn't taken.

Everything was good however both kwee zeen and lebar seemed to be understaffed which affected the quality of service. On a side note, housekeeping team did a great job in cleaning the room

I have stayed in your hotel many times, it is my favourite in Singapore and makes you feel you are really on vacation with a fantastic family pool and great Italian restaurant. There are a few things which need some work... Every time I stay, I request a garden access room - I have never been given one. I know that they are not guaranteed but it’s disappointing to have never had one The rooms are beginning to look tired, there are stains on the rugs and marks on the walls The service isn’t great, the bar is very very slow and breakfast needs some work Finally - this request for a review has been sent to the name of my two year old son. Is that because it is the only male name on the booking? My name is Victoria Roccia. I made the booking. Not my two year old

1. I was trapped outside my room for about an hour because the key card couldn't work because the door scanner is out of batt. A staff did came up and attend to me. However, he left me waiting for the next personnel to come and solve the problem. I was really tired and helpless, my belongings are in there and i can't get in. Luckily, another staff came up and checked me into another room, gave me an upgrade so i can rest for the night. Good service recovery. But i think when a guest is "stranded" outside their room, the staff should be more compassionate and stay with the guest till the next action is taken. By leaving the guest by themselves, it poses a security problem for the hotel and the safety of the guest. 2. Then came the morning, i went for the buffet breakfast. The place was kind of messy and the seating was kind of disorganise. But i was showed to my table. After going around to get my food, my table was taken by another person so i assumed that it was more of less a free seating. So i went to another table and occupied it. Shortly after, a staff approached me with a very unpleasant attitude and asked, "is this your table?" I felt interogated by the staff. She was very rude and the service is far worse than a 3 star. That kind of ruin my morning. Firstly, she jumped into conclusion that i changed seat by my own whim and fancy. Secondly, upon telling her that my table was taken up by another guest, she nodded and left with a very bad attitude and there was no apologies. I did not pay to expect nor get this kind of treatment. If this is your standards? Then what is the difference between Sofitel and Ibis? There are several instances that built up to my very unpleasant stay with you guys. Coming from an ex employee of sofitel, the service standard now is so much different than before. Where is the emphasis on good customer service? Let alone cousu main service. We were trained strictly back then, service standards, procedures and company branding. When interacting with guests, choice of words, body language, attitude and tone were atrocious. My stay there was really unpleasant. I hope that HOD can take my feedback seriously and look into it. Under Accor Group, Sofitel is branded as a Five Star Luxury property and this was something the crew is very proud of. Although, this might be my last time visiting Sofitel, i hope the company can keep up with their standards from the past and maintain the level of service. « Awesome with minor glitches »

The Overall experience was awesome and memorable. The Service staff attended to me with great care after I've checked in. The villa was very comfortable. I enjoyed my stay. Some minor glitches would be 1. the vanity area of master bedroom has a creaky floor, with water sippage beneath. 2. The Jacuzzi tub shower head was missing. 3. The front desk staff was rather rude and nonchalant when i enquired from her about the Le Club Accorhotel programme while i was checking out.

Upon checking-in, was offered to upgrade my room to a suite (cannot remember the name of that suite just that there is one of this kind only) at an afforable price of $300. Appreciative of the gesture but the suite is too big for both of us and thus did not go for it. Interestingly, was offered the room thereafter without any additional payment required. Ended up with another room as was told at 3pm that we need to wait another 30 minutes for the suite to be ready. Since we rather check-in as early as possible, went ahead with the other room than the suite. This experience made us suspect there was no room available at the time we checked-in and thus alternative room was offered. Understand all business's goal is to make a profit, just that in the service industry, the experience is just as important as word-of-mouth and repeat customers matter. The booking of the hotel stay, massage and breakfast in room was all done via email. Surprised to know that our breakfast was not stated as in room but at the restaurant instead. Was told to send the emails to the lady whom I spoke to over the phone but with there being a number of emails being sent, too much of a chore for me to resend. Instead, went to the customer service and showed it to one of your staff. He was helpful to let me know they will look into it. Was told someone will call me back to confirm on the breakfast in room but, no one called. When breakfast was served the next day, the lady sending it was surprised that no payment is required. Gracious enough to say will check. Upon checking out, the breakfast in room was not charged. Thankful for everything just that there are definitely areas that can be further improved upon.

We had a wonderful stay in Sofitel over the CNY period. The rooms were generally clean except for the coffee pantry area where there were obvious coffee stains Esp at the pull-out shelf. The room service was quick to respond for requests. An added touch of tea delights delivered the rooms was delightful. The only problem we had was that booking requests which we made earlier. We wanted connecting rooms but were not given even though we indicated that we were travelling with children. if not, it would have been an excellent experience at Sofitel.
