Generally my stay was OK, however Mercure standard compared to Europe is much lower, but significantly more expensive. Staff was friendly but initially did not recognise my platinum membership and I was worried I will have to stay till 2 pm for my room to be ready. Breakfast was poor. Though room was nice.

The room was nice and facilities were good. Water pressure was fantastic and service was good. Buffet breakfast was average but not a bad price. Blackout curtains were difficult to get full coverage across window. Location is amazing

Staff were great, both reception and house keeping. Room lovely, needed extra towel rail and somewhere to conveniently hang handtowel. BUT I feel the hotel is below the four star/Mecure brand due to noise. I stayed three nights and could hear every step of the guests in the room above as their floor/my roof squeaked and tapped as they moved about. The room next door, could hear their TV through the wall, it was on almost 24 hours. Could clearly hear sirens/heavy vehicles through outside cladding despite double glazing. The lobby was small, dark and scuffed. Lift floorcoverings worn out and card scanner very tempermental.

Staff were very friendly. rooms were dirty.

Rooms need a dam good clean. Curtains need fixing Bathrooms need a good clean. I clean the floor in the shower with the face washer. it was moledy.

Very affordable accommodation. Easy checkin. Room was available early, so that was a nice surprise. Very pleasant room with good amenities. Had use of coffee pods and chocolates on arrival. Made for a very enjoyable weekend

It’s a bit close distance between rooms, with probably thin walls, so I can listen noises from the room next to mine. Overall, this hotel is quite good. The location is convenient as it’s near Queen Victoria Market and free tram stop.
