« Not as good as last time »

Was somewhat disappointed Room & most of the floor (8th) was not even finished. Looked under construction. No floor finish ( rug or tile) in my room at all. Bathroom was unfinished as well. Absolutely NO soundproofing. Had to ask for extra blanket every night (3 Times). Brief - not a 5 star treatment Thé view was spectacular though

We were welcomed by staff, upon our arrival, and although a complimentary upgrade was not available for our room, initially, the staff were able to upgrade our room to a suite for the balance of our time at the hotel, which we greatly appreciated. Also, our guests, who were in the second room, also received a complimentary upgrade, which they also appreciated. The overall experience was good; breakfast was plentiful and the room service was also attentive.

My wife and I were at the end of a splendid trip to Sicily and the surprising city of Turin with five nights at La Griffe MGallery by Sofitel in Rome while I attended a conference. We are Accor partners with our own villa managed at Bunker Bay, Western Australia by Pullman Hotels.Over the last year we have stayed at Accor properties for over 42 nights, ranging from the Fairmonts in Banff, and Vancouver, Sofitel in Montreal and London, plus Novotel in Darwin and Geneva, and Pullman in Cairns.Thus it was disappointing to be given arguably the worst room in the hotel in Rome at the La Griffe hotel-Room 224 which faces a yellow wall with barely hidden cleaning product containers. As my wife was tired,we elected not to change rooms after unpacking, though this was offered. We dined that evening at the rooftop restaurant where indifferent service, warm rather than hot food and expensive food lead me to cancel the following night's birthday dinner with friends and book at the nearby outstanding Ambrosia restaurant for a memorable evening.This episode has unfortunately compelled me to, in the future, inspect rooms thoroughly before accepting them( with the one exception of the wonderful Sofitel in Melbourne where there are no inferior rooms).

I like staying at MGallery hotels, I find them special however our experience last weekend didn’t meet the standards that had been set before. The location is fantastic and most of the staff friendly and helpful. We were given an upgrade when we checked in but were told the room was not ready as we were early, this was fine gave us time to explore a little. However, once we had returned this message of an upgrade had not been passed on as we were given the room I booked. Did speak to reception later and we were told to enquire after breakfast the following mornings. This we did and then we received the upgrade and was very pleased. The most disappointing aspect was breakfasts. The first morning we were not the last to arrive but we were given a table which was not set up only had place mats. We had to ask several times for cutlery and serviettes, eventually some arrived however I had to ask again for a knife for my husband as he was only handed a fork. No sign of a tea cup etc. The staff were very unfriendly. The 2nd morning breakfast slightly better, half the table was laid. Had to ask for plates several times as there were none available. Still no tea or coffee offered or any signs of cups and saucers. Third morning, we had a table fully equipped together with the offer of tea or coffee. On this day the staff were very friendly. The food was nice, plenty around also.

I spent 2 nights in La Griffe Roma – Mgallery by Sofitel with my whole family for our vacation last week. Location of the hotel is great. Walking distance from the Roma Termini and main tourist attractions in Rome. Staff at lobby are helpful, responsive and courteous. Rooms are clean and tidy. However, I am quite disappointed with the work ethics or personal behaviours of some of the staff in such a large group. After the room cleaning service, we found that 1 box of cigarette was un-located. Though that is not a valuable stuff, I am not expecting this case happened in a 5-star hotel. I am not meant to request your further investigation – I think as a guest, that is part of our responsibility to keep our personal belongings in a safe place / lock in the luggage…..etc. Just want to let you know apart from what we appreciated, there is another black spot kept in our mind about your hotel’s image.

We spent a great weekend in Rome. Hotel was very nice, great staff. Location as very good, with easy access to the underground network and various bus lines. Also, many sites, e.g. Trevi Fountains, were in easy walking distance. Recommended for a stay.

front desk people are friendly and helpful and the housekeeping person are very nice they always keep our room always clean.its our first time in rome and this hotel makes our stay feels like home. We will be back in this hotel for sure.and the location is the best very accessible to all the tourist spot in the rome plus you can take the bus in front of the hotel going to Vatican. « Poor attention to detail »

I decided to give this hotel a second chance after problems during a previous stay. For 400 euros a night I do not expect to find dust I could write my name in if I was prepared to get my finger that dirty!. I do not expect a bath overflow that empties directly on to the floor! Breakfast was a little chaotic with a shortage of cutlery! It is so sad as this hotel could be very good. For 400 euros detail detail detail!

We had 3 rooms. One of the rooms was noisy and the bed was moist close to wet. Staff friendly. Breakfast good.

« Disappointing »

Overall I have stayed about 13 nights at this hotel during my last 3 trips to Italy. During that time I have found the level of service at reception has deteriorated to the point that I doubt I will stay next trip even though I am an Accor member. I never feel that my query is being attended too as they too often break off to see to others mid stream and then leave me wondering if they are still pursuing my issue. Breakfast etc are fine but front desk let the rest down.

Had a wonderful stay in this lovely hotel! The service was top-notch, especially at the 9th floor bar. Breakfast had a surprisingly wide spread of offerings, when compared to most of the better hotels in Central/Southern Europe. The location is just perfect!I highly recommend on booking a two-floor suite with jacuzzi in the bedroom - what a lovely room it was! I want to have similar glass stairs in my home also :)

« Overall kinda disappointed. More boo than wow. »

Staying in a few range of Accor hotels in Asia, I was looking forward to the 3 nights stay in M gallery ROME. But seems like the delivery is way below par from what I get from the usual M gallery. - No toothbrush in room. Have to call and request. - No replenishment of daily complimentary water. (or maybe it was 1 time?) - No Iron board in room, called and requested to be done within 30 mins so they can keep it. - Request for late checkout, front desk mention 11am, saying the rooms are fully booked and will extend till 12pm as goodwill. Website and vouchers all says checkout by 12pm. I am not sure where is the goodwill. - Request retrieval for left baggage, reception signal me the staff by the side counter will help. Waited by the side counter for 5 mins, no one is around and went back to reception and ask him where is his staff and he came out and say there is 1 staff at the front door. It would be professional if he could pass on the bag retrieval ticket to the guy standing by the door in the first place, instead of us waiting by the other side waiting for his so-call non existence staff. The saving grace I would think, the room were make up everyday and staff do greets you. P.s Thanks for congratulating us for the Honeymoon. Suggest to at least give 1 or 2 chocolate as a welcome honeymoon note if there is no budget for something special for honeymoon couples.
