Great location but restaurant furnishings need updating tables wobbly,bed & pillows were uncomfortable, food service slow, food underwhelming, breakfast was advertised as buffet but it was al carte and pool was closed for maintenance.

Stayed here before departing on a 3 day cruise, Stay was excellent! We were upgraded by the very helpful staff to a 2 bedroom corner suite. The view of the harbor was incredible! Loved the bar as well, The kind staff also looked after our vehicle til we returned from our cruise. Would defiantly recommend.

« Another Stay at Sydney Pullman »

In Sydney I will always stay at the Pullman due to its location beside the Opera House. However each time I do notice things getting worn e.g. this time slightly torn curtains, broken toilet roll holder, no coat hangers, trim coming off some cupboard doors. I could go on but for me these are minor issues compared to the location and as I mentioned at the start I will always stay here when in Sydney. However, it would be nice to have some of these issues tidied up for next time.

The experience wasn’t great. I had brought my son up from canberra for a follow up with his doctor (age 7) and want to give him a happy experience. We were staying in room 608 The spa didn’t work it kept tripping the meter box. This would also turn the TVs off as they are on the same switch. I rang front desk- it took them 40mins to come. All they did was switch it back on and said there was nothing else they could do. ( they could have moved us to another room) We got room service dinner- the food was cooked well but the ice cream already came melted- my son was looking forward to that!! There were cigarette butts on the balcony- it smelt, not a great look for a 7 year old. Over all for the money I spent I don’t think I will be coming back unless the hotel staff pull there socks up. Food at the hotel was what was expected for this quality of accomodation. Staff were professional, friendly and helpful - just the way I would expect. Unfortunately some of the room fixtures were showing states of disrepair and age. For example the bathtub cracked and discoloured on the bottom. Coffee table heavily marked and scratched. The bed was clean and comfortable. Parts of the room had been missed on cleaning, I understand this can happen but not expected in 5 star accommodation. There were some old chips in between couch cushions and some kind of food scrap on the floor, hard to see, at the base of the tv unit on the carpet. Overall great 'people' interactions, just a little let down by parts of the room. Undecided if I would stay again, or choose somewhere else. Location, a long with 5 star accommodation and parking were reasons of choice of hotel.

a great location, quality friendly greeting with well appointed room. disappointed that we were not aware the pool was out for major maintenance. breakfasts are good with quality selections. the restaurant is excellent, though the staff could be more attentive esp with water. carpark cost is on the high side. overall though the experience was great.

« Not what I expected for a 5 star hotel »

The view from the harbor may be worth 5 stars but the garden view room is not worth 5 stars nor is the room itself. I have stayed at 3 star hotels that have felt more luxurious. We paid $30 each for breakfast and were not impressed with the food or the service. It took nearly 2 hours for breakfast, lucky we were not in a hurry. For example it took over half an hour to receive a hot chocolate.

Hotel is great, but: 1. Pool closed due to maintenance (very hot day) 2. TV fault had to be fixed by technician (should be checked before room is released for re-occupation) 3. Construction next door very noticeable and annoying (should advise customer, as we would have deferred or changed our booking, as we went there for quiet break)

Satisfactory in terms of why I stayed in that i hardly noticed anything just that I needed a room to stay for the night. The view of the harbour was good though. The suite with it amenities especially the bath was good and room service and reception were good. This is pretty much what my experiences were limited too. Dinner was delicious well prepared. For breakfast ordered eggs Benedict tasted average Was annoyed the pool was out of service. Was looking forward to a swim in the hotel pool at arrival. While this wouldn't have impacted on my decision to stay was disappointed reception staff didn't alert myself at time of booking the hotel pool was out of service.

Everything was wonderful. The only things that I would criticise is the decor and furniture were looking very tired. Some of the furniture had deep scratches and chips on it. I know it is guests who have done this and it is such a shame. I had been planning this holiday for months but had to go through a travel agent since your hotel would not release their prices in time for me to get good air fares. I think this is a tad odd.

The position and facilities of the hotel are amazing. The crockery, cutlery, etc., is all pretty basic and hard to find (and no ironing board). The service by the various staff was first rate but the length of time waiting for a breakfast and coffee, juice, etc., in Q Dining was ridiculously long.
