Apartment was amazing. Unfortunately hotel is let down by service in F&B outlets. Very poor breakfast experience resulting in significant waits, cold meals for 6 pax being returned to kitchen and then served cold again. Would stay again due to location and views however woudn't frequent any F&B outlets within the hotel.

Check out time is 11, but around 10 - 10.15 , there was a knock on the door. I may not have been quick enough to open the door due to hearing impairment as a man opened the door himself & asked when was I checking out? Obviously the cleaning team were keen to get the room ready for the next occupant, but I found it intrusive to have staff come into the apartment . Surely in a 5 star hotel, there is a system in place where the housekeeping staff are advised tthat the guest has checked out, the room is vacant & ready for cleaning.

We arrived early due to catching a train from Wollongong. We were greeted by a friendly and accommodating staff who took our luggage and stored it for us so we could have a look and enjoy the sights of Sydney while our room was being prepared. We were able to check in at 12.00pm and also a late checkout at 12pm the following day. The surroundings were beautiful! The bar had awesome views of our iconic harbour. Breakfast staff were welcoming and efficient. Everything was wonderful! Thank you! We really enjoyed our stay for Vivid. So close to everything.

The noise outside our room until 11.30 pm at night by a tractor removing bollards was unsatisfactory.. We understand that vivid was on and expect the noise of people, however when we contacted the front reception to enqire about the forklift moving bollards at the hotel entrance we were not happy with the response from staff, very disappointing..

Breakfast service was a huge disappointment to say the least. Not enough seating for guests, people queing, disorganisation on the floor, no-one in charge. Both mornings were very bad. Long delays in getting coffee. Wrong food coming to tables, people not getting the extras they ordered, toast coming after the meal, breakfast luke warm, dirty tables, staff stressed, tension in the air. The room was FREEZING. The worst hotel stay breakfast we have ever had. It was so bad we will not be staying at this hotel again. We ordered chocolates on arrival but there were no chocolates on arrival. On day 2 we mentioned this to staff and they said they were sent up on Day 2 but again there were no chocolates. Very unprofessional for the hotel to not be able to make such a little thing happen. Overall was not what you would expect from a 5 star pricey hotel. More on the B grade side. Disappointing.

Everything was near perfect on this trip, we have stayed numerous times prior. Two issues that prevented a perfect score. One, the very noisy construction work taking place at the quay . The noise gave me a headache at times . Two, the dust present in the room and on the balcony seating furniture. I had to physically wipe down these items as i was wearing white pants which would be stained if i didn't. The staff etc were on top of their game.

The location and view is second to none. The rooms were a little worn (floor material was bubbled, rugs were a trip hazard - which was an issue for my 83 year old mother - and me, as I also tripped - toilet paper holder was falling off door, flush on toilet was broken, marble was chipped, shower door did not seal, window blinds did not all work, bedside table was sticky and large crack in mirror, furniture was mismatched) but I do understand this somewhat as the hotel is not brand new. No instructions were provided for blinds (noting that there were two different remote controls provided for those - but not clear which went with what. Moving blinds was trial and error). Bigger disappointment was the staff. From check in, staff were not connected to the guests (check in didn't offer assistance with bags, wifi details or newspapers, barely spoke to me and was unhelpful when I raised issue that I'd not been able to check in on line due to site error). Ordered room service first night - hot parts of meal, chips especially, were virtually stone cold (and, I do note that this wasn't raised at the time so wasn't able to be rectified). Cloche used on one meal was dirty (sticky on outside). Delivery staff also not particularly welcoming. Restaurant staff at breakfast would occasionally (not always) not look at you while speaking, were short in conversation, and were not welcoming. Did not seem to be interested in providing service. Two bottles of purified water were provided on day one but no subsequent water was provided. All that being said - staff member who checked me out was delightful - and I didn't feel I could raise these issues at the time with her. I have stayed in a number of hotels - ranging in levels of quality - and overall, for the money paid per night, I felt this should have been a better overall experience. The view and location alone doesn't justify the cost.

After staying 25 times previously Very Disappointed we could not be seated for dinner service we had to order room service so we could not take advantage of our Accor and again at breakfast we could not be seated booked out??go back to your room and we will call you when a table is available. we had breakfast included in our stay. This is not 5 star service.

The hotel was a prime location, the rooms however were a bit of a let down, our first room the door to the bedroom when closed was very dirty. The 2nd night, 2bedroom, the beds in the 2nd bedroom where awful, and in the lounge we found bottle tops, earring and money, don’t think the lounge had had a good vacuum in a while. The breakfast was a disappointment, understand the ordering but would have been better to have the juices, toast, fruit as a buffet, as staff where slow to come and ask if we would like anything else.

This hotel is ideally placed to explore Circular Quay and especially the Opera House. Great rooms with loads of space and fantastic views of the harbour. A well fitted kitchen and plenty of sitting space. Two bathrooms was ideal with 3 guests and plenty of hot water. The a la Carte breakfast is great value paying for just what you want rather than a large buffet that many do not do justice to, The restaurant was excellent with a great choice of food and friendly service. It’s location next to circular quay station means getting to the rest of sydney is easy
