Check in staff were excellent. Restaurant ordering was confusing. A la carte was suggested when we were given the Pre Set page. When I then asked for the A La Carte menu, the waiting staff did not where it was. THEN our entree and mains were delivered at the same time. Meals were fine and very flavourful and exactly as described in the menus. It was just confusing with the menu recommendations. In the room there were no written instructions with the Nespresso machine were not available. I have no experience with a Nespresso. There was a lack of coffee pods for a room catering for 2 adults. A full sink was there however there was a serious lack of kitchen cleaning supplies - tea towels, cleaning cloths. There was no top sheet on king size bed - European style which is not suitable to Sydney Australian conditions. There was no spare blanket All the pillows on the bed were VERY hard and made of rubber so there was NO flexibility. I would prefer a pillow menu.

The Pullman has dropped its standards and service offerings and I was shocked to find an Accor brand not hitting the mark. The rooms look tired and poorly maintained. We booked a suite and a month prior to the stay I requested Park view and an upgrade - upon check in, I again enquired and was advised that there was no availability which was a complete lie as on the website your suite was available and I also received an email a few days prior to check in prompting me to upgrade with a payment, so what I draw from this, is that if want to pay yes I can receive an upgrade but as a Diamond member who should get an upgrade (subject to availability) then you are fully booked. Which is it, as both cant be true!? Arrived to the room and surprise it does NOT face the Park, the lounge faces the back of the hotel and only the bedroom has a window to the side of the hotel looking into the park, I would not call that a Park view! Your amenity and guest recognition whilst appreciated lacked flair, creativity and originality. All it was a bottle of red wine and boxed chocolates, reminded me of a hotel amenity from 20 years ago, very cliche. The room was poorly cleaned, there was glitter on the carpet, very obvious and lack of attention to detail. The wardrobe had items left from the previous occupant and remained there for the full 5 day stay - bizarre as housekeeping must've thought it was now our property?! We noticed immediately that the water tap in the bathroom was leaking and asked reception to attend to it when going out. On return it wasn't fixed. The dripping noise made for a poor sleep. The next morning visited reception again, went out for the day and again not fixed. This was repeated for 2 nights of poor poor sleep. The third day I asked firmly to have this addressed. I received a call from the Duty Manager to say that yes Maintenance has attended, BUT the water was still leaking. So the DM arrived to our room to show us how to close the tap?! A 5 star hotel that comes with instructions on how to close the tap, which is not to close fully but to close and go back a bit. You would expect this from a budget hotel not yours! When I said this is poor resolution, the DM went on the say that guest damage the taps, so now is the guest fault. The next day the tap was fixed (completely replaced). Why did it take that much effort for a simple fix. Your rooms are so so tired, dark and in desperate need for a refresh and upgrade. Your breakfast restaurant too, old school buffet and the noise of the open deck fridge where you store the yogurt jars is extremely loud. To say that I was disappointed with this stay would be an understatement.

Stay with a friend for a night out in Sydney. Unfortunately no room upgrade as the hotel was full, but the room was comfortable and had what we needed. Fan in bathroom did not work, like the other rooms I have stayed in on a number of occasions at this hotel. Unfortunately we were not recognised as Platinum Accor Plus members with our welcome gift which was disappointing, but we did receive our complimentary breakfast and late check out. The pool was well kept and a great temperature.

Overall good stay, great location, cleanliness of room very disappointing supposed fresh towel dirty and spilt milk in fridge not cleaned and dried milk on counter i had to clean as it wasnt done by cleaner , small kettle half full bubbled over water all over counter very dangerous
