The room was great, the staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. However, we had a few unpleasant experiences during our stay 1) The bathtub was leaking since day 1. Complaint was made but it was still leaking after 3 nights stay. 2) on the first day, the staff incharged of mini bar literally barged into our room right after 2 swift knocks on the door. We found this very rude, as others would wait at least 10 to 15 secs before opening the door of a guest room, to ensure that the room is really empty before entering. The staff did not even apologize for barging in. 3) house keeping quality was very poor. Some of the trash bin was not emptied, bath robe wasnt properly hung, bedroom slipper wasnt arranged properly, damp towel folded and hung. Even one of our own canned beverage was missing from our room.

Good day, Let me address to you and to all the team of Novotel Istanbul Bosphorus my warm and deep thanks for the stay I spent in this hotel from September 8 to Sept. 12. It was my first visit to your hotel and to Istanbul and it will certainly not be the last. Also and especially a very special thanks to Mrs. Delak and to Mrs Serem who received and welcomed me during all the stay , so nice persons, always smiling, in a good mood; available, serving and giving good advices. They adviced me about the touristic spots of the city to visit. Mrs. Serem was also caring and fixed things for breakfast facilities. You should be so proud of having them in your team, really. I am an Elite Club Accor member, I stay from time to time in the hotels of Club Accor all over the world, this time, the service was among the best I had until now. Make sure I will let the central management know it and make sure also I will come back one day as soon as possible with my family this time. Just one small remark which is that the AC in the room was making noise when I put it on and the internet wifi was not so efficient unfortunately. Thanks again, all the very best. I was totally shocked to be asked by your check out guest service guy that I need to pay x amount of Lira because I had fully paid my room. Upon nullifying his payment request, only he check the system and said I no need to pay.

We were greeted and assisted upon check in by very courtous staff, the breakfast seating area was perfect, rooms were comfortable, full of sunlight, clean. Housekeeping were attentative, but more than this, the access roads leading to long alleywasy full of eatry and shopping was absoutly fantastic. The uphill alleyway leading up to Yuksek Kaldirim Cd is a must try for every visitor.

The suite (room 340) was well designed and spacious and comfortable. The only negative would be the bedside table were quite small. The staff were helpful and friendly, throughout the hotel - at reception, the spa , the restaurant on the top floor. Food was very good - breakfast and dinner in the restaurant and the room service food in the room. The hotel is well located with nice shops, bars, cafes and restaurants nearby and good tram link to the rest of Istanbul. The only negative was the building work across the road which was noisy during the day and also disrupted the view of the Bosphorus from the 3rd floor.

This is a fantastic hotel, the breakfast on the roof is also amazing. Staff very friendly and go out of their way to help you. I recommend this hotel to anyone. Its very close the bridge and Karakoy. Everything is close by and if you don't feel like walking, taxis are ready to take you anywhere around the city.

The hotel is nicely located in karakoy with a walking distance from all the coffee shops and bars around. 5 mins walk to Tophane station will give you access to eminuno and sultanahmet. The property is new and very well maintained. We loved the spacious bathrooms which have rain showers. Beds and pillows so comfy. The negative part comes is the staff which gave me a terrible experience especially when the host of the terrace denied my access to the restaurent located at the roof when I came to have a smoke and enjoy the view from up. She simply said you can't smoke here and when I told her how other people are smoking she said they have reservations. I mentioned to her I'm a guest in the hotel and I need 5 mins only to have a smoke she redicousely adosed me to go and smoke outside the hotel ! Was shocked and went to the reception to complain and the answer if the front office guy was; sorry we can do nothing since we are leasing the terrace to a third party company and they decide. I am so disappointed!
