Check in around 10:30pm. The room was not clean properly, room bin is still full, no water in the room. At around 12:30midnight, we found out that the hot and cold shower doesnt work but the receptionist sort it out and we moved room. Very thrilled with the room we moved but around 6am we woke up because of the noise, noise from the guest and noise from people whos sorting out some things in the hotel and not very happy about it. Overall, we didnt rest properly.

Stayed for 2 nights, received a warm greeting and got to my room which initially I was happy with. Unfortunately due to decorating in the hotel the paint fumes gave me a headache overnight. The hotels response was swift & courteous, moving me to the other side of hotel. The rooms were well appointed, the staff were friendly and very helpful so I am lucky with having a problem at the beginning as I wouldn't have seen them going the extra mile. If I had to be picky, the layout of the hotel is a little confusing but that's all

On checking in with a very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly receptionist I was allocated a tiny room with only just enough room to walk around the bed. There was no desk and no space to work - the purpose of my visit. I asked for and was then allocated a much larger room and this had a desk area which was fine. The bathroom was tiny but it was all fine. The staff are all brilliant and very pleasant and helpful. The hotel is near to 2 parades of shops in each direction from the entrance but there are no local pubs or restaurants around offering cooked meals. At the hotel there was a dreary and very limited choice of food in the restaurant for the evening meal which was of microwaved products only. There is no freshly cooked food and the choices were mainly curries of various types plus curiously fish and chips - presumably microwaved! I ordered soup on the first night as I am not a fan of microwaved food of any description and nothing else on the limited menu appealed. To be fair when it arrived it was probably Heinz tomato soup and was perfectly fine but the bread with it was apparently defrosted and not particularly edible. Breakfast the next day was quite unremarkable but just about adequate as an included meal in the price of the room. There was no apparent offer of an additional cooked breakfast at cost as found in other Styles properties. On the evening of day 2 due to being unable to find any other source of food to eat locally at other establishments I decided that I had not option but to risk the microwave curry which followed an order for tomato soup. It was hot but not adequate as a meal. It was a very cold evening and the room was freezing due to the outside doors constantly opening and closing. This property falls far short of the standard of Ibis properties generally and I will avoid it in future unless the food situation is addressed. The bed was very comfortable.

The staff was very helpful. I didn’t like the original room I was given. When I asked to move, I was promptly serviced. They allowed us use of the facilities (warming up food) which I appreciated. One of the ladies at the front desk also allowed us to check out a little later because our flight was delayed. I appreciated it a lot.

« The room I got for a family to stay was very small »

The room was small and the whole place smelt of paint. I got paint on my cloths which was freshly done. No signs to say it was wet. The hotel rooms needs to be refurbished as it was a little old. I. E shower was leaking so there was no pressure. I originally booked for a family of 4 but lucky they decided not to stay due to the room size. The rooms were quite dark too. Also we had to pay £7 for parking which is disgraceful for guests staying at the hotel, which I have never experienced.

OK .. please read my experience with your hotel .. Booked 2 flexible rate rooms with my companies credit card , drive 230 miles .. arrive .. check in .. how are you paying ... just take the payment off the preauthorized card .. NO , why ? they need to give authorization ... errm you have the CCV .. just take it ... NO ok, this is a real pain , take it off my Credit card then .. DON'T THROW YOUR CARD AT ME .. ( me.. I didnt) Get your boss to email us .. ( hard as he is away from the office today ) Fine then .. give you the keys ... then she does not give welcome drinks vouchers ( me accor gold ) .. and goes out of her way to issue the MOST noisy rooms in your hotel .. I have retrospectively looked reviews of your hotel and seen that you have MASSIVE noise problems you have not addressed . 2AM I was re roomed ..to another unacceptable noisy room .. I give up . Accor need to audit your franchise hotel urgently to assess if you are up to the task of a Accor brand hotel .. in my opinion you are well below the mark. ( additional statement to add .. then next morning after no sleep , I sleepily head to get some toast and a coffee , to see the crack addict who was asleep when i entered the lobby sofa in front of the check in desk at 12am , and at 7:45am refusing to leave the lobby .. swearing with the member of your staff with the police about to be called to remove her .. that needs a good long look at !!! ) ... I await your response BEFORE I upload this sorry experience I had to Google reviews ...)

Room and bathroom were dirty, linens were even worse. Shower didn’t work properly, water was either too cold or hot. The toilet was dirty too and I had to clean it my self. The floor was absolutely terrible. The whole thing looked shabby.

So Very warmly greeted- Thank you. However this hotel is in urgent need of refurbishment. The doors to landings and rooms are old fire compliant and slam unmercifully all day and night! I am deaf and i was frightened by the intense banging . i thought someone was trying to break in to my room . Not nice at 3AM when i had an intense days work to do. I didnt sleep all through the night once during the three night stay. I have to say the area surrounding the hotel was also dark and didnt make me feel very safe at all. The unique design of the room was odd- it looked as though someone thought grown assed people would want to stay in a bed shaped like an aeroplane...... perhaps its just me but it felt infantile I tried breakfast but it was dull.... get some nice bread to toast! meagre slices of highly processed white bread or lidl special brown ... mediocre coffee .... i didnt try anything else Bit disappointed really IBIS. I stay at better ibis budget hotels . Perhaps this one needs relocating to an area you feel you might be stabbed in at any time . On the plus side the general hospital is right across the road Sorry! i hate giving negative reviews . like i say the staff tried very hard but a piece of coal is never going to sparkle and this is a dirty gurt lump

It felt very impersonal. Having stayed here quite a few times there was a marked change in the staffs attitude. I also didn’t like paying for a double room and having to sleep with two beds being pushed together. If the topper is good enough to hide this then I accept that is ok but this one allowed a large dip in the middle making the bed extremely uncomfortable. I was also extremely disappointed to see the advertised room rate outside on the board as lower than I had paid just a short time before. Makes me feel undervalued as a customer and questions my automatic go to of choosing this hotel again which saddens me.

The room is horrible, whole room has disgusting smell, even though I opened windows. The room cleaner didn’t do a good job, I can see a used condom right besides the room window. The whole room seems like just interior finished and the air is pungently.
