Terrible value - glorified youth hostel

Booked for the location as limited choice in the area. Extremely disappointed with the value for money. We paid £153 for a tiny room with all cheap hardwood furnishings that made it look like a youth hostel. Bathroom tiny and looked like something from a train, with no ventilation which caused the room to become very humid. The walls also had hairs all over them. Tiny old TV, no sockets by the bed, hair dryer didn’t work, poor sound proofing and worst of all, the air conditioning doesn’t even work until the outdoor temperature reaches 19 degrees. At 15 degrees outside and with the humidity from the shower (the bathroom extractor fan didn’t work) the room became very hot. I went down to complain and was told to “open a window” and given a small fan. The window opened about 3 inches and it was too noisy to leave open at night given the traffic noice making for a hot and humid night. If I’m paying for air conditioning as advertised, I should be able to use the air conditioning! All in all, I feel extremely ripped off by this experience. You’re charging premier inn prices for a hotel room not even half as decent. If I ever need to visit this area again I will pay the transport costs and stay somewhere else because I feel like I have “lost” £153 rather than spent it.

The room was dirty, The hotel was noisy, There was an issue getting the parking validated. They charge for amenities that other hotels don’t. Half the lights in the room didn’t work. Not worth the price wouldn’t waste your money
