« Friendly staff in a great location ! »

I love to stay at Mercure Rio Vermelho. Great location , friendly staff , good food ! very convenient neighborhood. I just do not agree about not consider my Le Club AccorHotels just because I paid through a different website such as expedia or decolar. This is not fair !!!

« Nice hotel in general - outdated rooms. »

The hotel in general is very good - staff very polite and helpful. The rooms is very outdated though. We stayed 1 night and then came back for another night 4 days later. On our first check out we commented we were coming back and if we could get a better room next time, however we got the same style of room. From pictures online the rooms seems to be a lot newer, i dont think we were lucky enough to get a new room though... second room had a huge water stain in ceiling of the toilet, the wood of wardrobes were in pretty bad shape as well.

« Disappointing on facility of the hotel, nerfs to ne refreshed. Service at the lobby or the most efficient »

Fourniture in the room was old and damaged for part of it. Bathroom old fashioned and quite small. Great location and pool but lack of care ( plastic glasses everywhere on the floor) , could be looked after in a much better way to improve customer experience. Being served for a drink at the swimming pool took quite long. Dirty dished landing next to the bar, is not the best .,,

« A lot of mold in the bathroom! Need cleaning urgently! »

The hotel and facilities are really nice, but I was very disappointed with the bathroom full of mold. Please clean it, the smell was really bad due to that. It is a safety issue.

The equipment at the room need replacement as the proximity to the ocean deteriorate faster than average. The Lamp was rusty. Internet signal was poor.in my room (#2078). I notified the managemant but it was not possible to fix it.

Perfect location, amazing infinity pool, friendly staff. Would have been even better if breakfast would be included. Also, I would have appreciated a free bottle of water upon arrival (but was only for purchase in minibar).

« Amazing Views & Experience »

Everything was amazing. Right from extremely friendly staff at check-in to the quick response in changing my room due to the glass being misted and blocking the sea view as well as the extensive breakfast spread and infinity pool overlooking the sea and the great location... this vacation was EVERYTHING! The worst thing was having to leave.. :)

I was in Salvador for work during the week and stayed at another hotel till Friday when I switched to Mercure Rio Vermelho for the weekend for leisure.. As I checked in I already realized I was going to have an amazing experience. The staff was so friendly and told me my room was a side view room and told me the price for a full view update which was minimal so I paid. When I got to my room the glass wasn't clear because it was closer to the ground floor and had mist from the ocean on the outside so I called downstairs and they immediately found a vacant room and came up personally and moved me into my new room. The infinity pool overlooking the sea was everything and the in pool bar and service was amazing. It is also perfectly located to many bars and restaurants which made it an amazing time for a first timer. Breakfast was amazing with a wide variety and quality espresso and coffee and the terrace overlooking the sea for breakfast was EVERYTHING esp after a hangover. All in all it was great experience.

Every year I go to Salvador for an open water swim competition, usually in November. For 4 consecutives years I stood in this hotel. The reason why I keep coming back is because it is perfect! Everything works as I expect: the staff, the room, the view, breakfast, the pool, location... So I will be there again in 2018!!

The hotel offers a great pool view and good options to eat and drink by the pool. The reception and breakfast area are looking good and modern. Breakfast is overpriced for the options offered. The room has a great ocean view but are dated and need an urgent refurbishment in the bathrooms. Overall the experience was good.
