We stayed for a second time in this hotel ,great location, friedly staff , nice breakfast, many restaurants nearby, very clean hotel, bus stops outside the hotel, you can take a walk by the river and feel safed

« Clean and adequate hotel in very convenient location »

Good things - Room was clean, service good. Check in and Check out was smooth and efficient. Breakfast had a good selection of food and hotel offered free late checkout till 5 pm. Location of hotel was excellent. Bad things - Bed was too soft. Hotel restaurant was quite dark. For late check out the access keycard was disabled after noontime and hotel had to provide a new keycard; it would have been good if the keycard could be preset to take into account the late checkout time.

it was not so pleasant as there were a lot of convenience due to hotel renovation which should have been considered when night stay price is made . simply due to the renovation guests are not getting value for they they have paid for

I would not have stayed if I had known construction was going on that shook the walls of the room I stayed in. When I arrived, the iron was not functional and instead of bringing me a new one, they made me change rooms (which was not fun since I had already unpacked). I requested to have my Accor number attached to the stay and was told that it was not possible (which it obviously was). Finally, it seemed that the front desk team was never able to handle issues on their own and had to call the manager about every request. Very poor service.

I have stayed at this hotel many, many times. One of it's major selling points was that it had on site parking. This is no longer the case. The car park has given way for construction / development. For me, the hotel has lost its USP. I shall be staying elsewhere in future.

Very good experience at this Novotel. Staff are extremely helpful and polite. Great location for most things you will need to do in London. I stayed in a recently refurbished room which was nice although a bit odd with the sink in the bedroom area - you effectively step out of the shower cubicle into the bedroom. Ok for solo travel or as a couple, but probably not so good for families.

Easy access to London Bridge Station and most attractions. Room was large enough for 3 with space for open luggages. However, bedroom slippers, blanket and toothbrushes were not made available upon check in. But was quickly provided once request were made. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Will stay again.

Historically and this time around too I find housekeeping not as good as I would have hoped - rarely replacing the 'breakfast order form' in my room, and when I am staying longer periods not keeping the room as clean as I would expect. However. Every single member of staff I have spoken to when checking in/making a request/going to breakfast/having an issue - has been absolutely outstanding. What a lovely team of great people.

As usual - all looks glossy and lovely and then you see the detail and it is all very disappointing. Bathrobe was yellow with age, toilet cubicle smelt awful, shampoo container was filthy, towels looked ancient. And this was an upgrade!! The bed was very comfortable - thank goodness.

When we checked in there was an issue with our booking where the confirmation I had showed breakfast included but your system showed room only. The issue was quickly resolved by two of your staff who were very helpful and understanding. Staff all very friendly and helpful during our stay and the couple of dinners we had in the restaurant were very enjoyable. We will definitely be returning especially so we can see the end product of all the refurbishment that you are undertaking

Hotels in London are expensive I know that, but paying 250 GBP pr night and you get: -Mice in the restaurant floor. I notified staff, they did not do much. Maybe the restaurant should be shut-down? -Invoice not in line with my pre-order, this had to be explained to several during check-out -I had to pay for breakfast - even if I already have ordered with Breakfast included in room price. This was finally deducted upon check-out -Noisy enviornment because of expansion, however not communicated in advance. Not a good experience

Firstly, I would like to offer my apologies for the shock you must have experienced at the sight of mice in the restaurant. We have a preventative programme in place at and around the hotel to prevent such a situation occurring and whilst, the likelihood is that the mice came as a result of building works by the hotel, will immediately call in an external contractor to investigate. I can certainly reassure you that at the end of last year we have had a health and safety audit by the council which we scored very highly on and can confirm that we have seen no evidence that this was anything other than an isolated incident. I have also reported this incident to our own Health and Safety Manager. I have also asked my Front Office Manager to investigate why your invoice was not correct, to prevent reocurrance. Once again, my sincerest apologies that you had to experience this but I hope I have put your concerns to rest and look forward to welcoming you back to the Novotel London City South. I was your guest of the day so we were upgraded to a lovely room which was a real treat. We were meeting friends in the evening so did not eat in the hotel in the evening but did have breakfast there. That was the only disappointment. The bacon and sausages both were, to us, very under cooked and lukewarm. Also the list of fruit available was much longer than the list of food available. Finally, some hotels have a small bin on the table to keep it tidy so that teabags, sugar bags, butter papers can be put away. You have a nice dining room but it would help to keep the tables tidier.

staff lovely.food lovely.wash basin in bedroom silly. when someone was using the shower and it became wet [glass] all was visible from bedroom.wash basin has a fixed open outlet so that water can not stay in basin.toilet door [glass] would not close properly-very embarrassing. my first complaint ever regarding your fine hotel group.The whole shower/wc/wash basin design is very wrong.

Trip was good. Friendly staff, easy check in and check out process, modern room design, room was serviced every day, good gym facilities. Improvements - bed was soft and the air conditioning in the room was hot even when turned on to the lowest temperature setting.
