modern convenient hotel with thin walls and very little to eat on a Saturday night. We had to go out into the town on a cold, wet night to find supper as we were told that there was very little on the evening menu (not even a hamburger!). the room was a good size, but the noise through the night was bad especially from the room above. The croissant and coffee breakfast was poor, with one old tasting pastry and a small coffee. It would have been cheaper and better to find something on the motorway.

We have two different breakfast options, a coffee and croissant at 5 euro or the breakfast buffet with lots of choices and hot and cold food items. When we arrived we saw posters advertising a band playing outside. So after dropping off our bags we went out to see and hear the band; they were very good, playing Christmas carols and songs. The hotel had organised the event, along with free beer and something to eat. There was a very pleasant and relaxed atmosphere where all had a great time together, a very pleasant surprise.

The bedroom looks a bit old, and not really sound proof. We could hear every time someone passed in the corridor, even if they weren’t noisy. The staff was super friendly and always available. The breakfast was a truly positive surprise.

stay was good BUT i placed my order via the website, - just the stayn not any breakfast. in the hotel they seem to have the habit of automatically adding (and charge) breakfast ... reimbursement of the not ordered or consumed services takes very long not happy at all with that

Hotel, food, drinks all quite good. Staff excellent.Room, not so good. Power saving lights not good enough to read by and, one flickered! Shower door twisted so leaked into bathroom. Shower itself, very little pressure.

This was my third stay in Aalst Centrum. The reception staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are well maintained and clean. The dining and bar areas are pleasant and the general atmosphere is welcoming. I would have no hesitation in using this hotel again and would happily recommend it to others.

We have stayed at this hotel 3 times and this was by far the worst experience. All the staff are friendly and helpful but they were clearly understaffed and struggled at the weekend with check-ins and check-outs, plus service at the restaurant was difficult with only 2 members of staff to cover reception and service. Our room wasn't ready at 2pm, 2:15 or 2:30 so we were allocated another one. The cleaners removed our plastic cups after day 1 and we never got replacements. As ever the room was too hot and the air con was so old that the numbers had worn off so we couldn't set the temperature correctly. We didn't complain at the time because the staff were over worked and it would have added to their issues. The young barman on Friday night was a joy and very helpful arranging a taxi -when no-one else could - for the time we wanted the next morning.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and tidy. The room was comfortable. The only issue was the lack of kitchen staff which meant limited menu for evening meals. We ate there twice and both times the food was good but we would have liked more choice. Plenty of choice for breakfast though which was very good. Could also perhaps suggest the hotel invests in some new towels!
