We like Accor hotels for the bedding, where we get a good, comfortable night's sleep. The room was clean and well-aired. We did not stay for breakfast.

Although location was good, staff were friendly and room was clean, there was a very bad smell in the bathroom (toilet smell) probably due to no ventilation. Although I complained to the reception and I asked to change rooms, I was told that "all rooms are the same". So overall it was a bad experience having to sleep in a bad smelling room.

« Convenient Hotel »

Pros: The parking was extremely convenient, huge spaces and secure. The breakfast was amazing and varied. The waffle maker was a nice touch. Staff friendly and helpful. No complaints at all. Cons: Quite far from the centre (10-15 minute walk). The room temperature was uncontrollable. It was so hot in the room, it was unbearable. We couldn't sleep at all. We had to switch the heat off, but then the room becomes cold. There was an unpleasant smell in the bathroom.

Hotel room and breakfast in line with the hotel category. I'm very disappointed for your poor professionality and lask of customer care that somebody in your hotel reception persisted to don't provide me with any valuable answer. I sent an email to the hotel and a complaint to Accor Portal. This is the email content: I'm very disappointed for your poor professionality and lask of customer care that somebody in your hotel reception persisted to don't provide me with any valuable answer, And also I haven't received any answer to the present email. The facts: 1. I reserved a package “Flexible rate bed and breakfast” as you can see below and my email confirmation 2. The invoice I received has two line for every nights: this is not I reserved 3. Nobody has answered this email 4. I called the hotel (+32 81 25 75 40) , today at 14:19 and the person who answered told me that the Belgian law doesn’t allow to have an invoice with a single “package” (bed & breackfast) for every nights. I do not believe this, definitly: it was just an answer to get him rid of the weight of doing some work…. And do not take care of my request. 5. I’m coming to Belgium every weeks and all the Hotels have given me an invoice coherent with the offer: package bed & breakfast or room – breakfast included. I’m attaching some invoices I received, and you can see also the Hotel Ibis of Charleroi gave me a correct invoice with package bed & breakfast. Novotel, Sheraton and other Hotel gave me always the invoice coherent with what I reserved. So are all these Hotels “out-of-the law” ?!??! 6. If the package was “out-of-the law” why in your web-site you offer different quotation, for both “room rate without breakfast” and “room rate breakfast included” with or without flexibility. I always choose flexible rate including breakfast. Are your “web-site out-of-the-low” because you offer this package? Did I reserve this package “out-of-the-law” on your web-site? Or, I think, you have a lazy and careless employee that don’t care of customer needs? I’d like to receive a consistent answer this time. I don’t like to waste my time in writing this kind of complaint. But I do not even like being teased. I will forward this email to IBIS Hotel management and Social.
