I have stayed at this hotel on several occasions and particularly like the fact that as a solo traveller, I never feel uncomfortable. All staff are polite but friendly. The new decor in the restaurant is great, but I did not sample the dinner menu on this visit. I am sure that I shall be back to stay on my next visit to London.

When we come to London it is our preferred hotel. The location is superb, the room always great with such comfy beds. What really makes it is the staff. The concierge staff and Restruant staff in particular where always cheerful and very helpful. You get the feeling that they really care.

Our recent 4 night stay was memorable for the warm welcome, the pleasant friendly helpful staff and the easy comfortable and relaxing surroundings in the midst of London summer chaos. The accommodation was comfortable ,roomy and quiet making for a delightful refuge at the end of each day. Situated within walking distance of so many of the iconic landmarks and shopping the hotel offers a classy convenient stay. We stayed for a conference but would love to return to the same hotel for London tourist experience.

The service was possibly the best I have ever experienced at any hotel. The room was lovely and spacious and relatively quiet. The main shortcoming was having the bathroom right beside the bed so there was no privacy, for example, if someone got up in the night to use the toilet. It would help if the bathrooms had fans. The service in the restaurant was a bit scattershot. We were seated all alone in a dim room near the bar, while people who walked in off the street wearing jeans were seated in the upper part of the restaurant which was light and buzzing with guests. We should have been asked where where we preferred to sit. However, I understand that the restaurant is just getting off the ground and the waiter who served us was lovely. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and will definitely consider booking at the Sofitel next time we travel.

Unfortunately I had an awful stomach upset while staying with you. The staff couldn't have been kinder or more caring. Someone phoned every couple of hours to ask how I was - and, thank goodness, I could stay in the same room for a further night. The room was everything I would expect from a five star hotel - if a little small - as a Londoner myself I do appreciate how inordinately expensive real estate is..... The only thing I would criticiseis the fact that there were no vegetarian options in the restaurant. I would have been very grateful for at least one.

I loved this hotel that is why I will always stay in a Sofitel Hotel from now on. The staff were extremely and genuinely friendly. The location was perfect (quiet neighborhood but close to all the attractions and museums). Just a block away from the underground metro. And the food was excellent. The breakfast buffet was superb (I chose the bed and breakfast option). We also had dinner in the hotel restaurant and the chef was incredible. We had the Marseilles bouillabaisse. I highly recommend this hotel and I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to London.

My 4th stay at this hotel and the location, rooms, bar, restaurants are perfect but it is the staff that keeps me coming back. As a single traveller I never feel alone as the staff are always asking about your day, your night at the theatre, your shopping - remembering everything I am doing. At breakfast I feel like I am eating with family!! I find all the Sofitel’s around the world have incredible customer service but, truly, this hotel is a level above.

Outstanding experience - wonderful staff, extremely good service at all levels and in all ways - email communication; text and text follow-up; room service; IT issues and resolution; conciege; front desk staff; housekeeping; telephone response; ease of internet access. The only point where improvement could be made is the electrical lighting: Night light did not stay on; could not turn off all room lights and leave only the reading lamps on the bed on. And the restaurant was not open which was unfortunate.
