in advance expecting the best rate, but on arrival I checked and could have got it £100 cheaper so not a great Start The rooms were basic and clean but no air con? Wtf! It's not even summer yet and the rooms were stuffy The beds were terrible, like sleeping on a camp bed and so thin you could hardly move or you'd fall out of bed, the pillows were so flat and hard it felt like sleeping on a park bench The shower ran scalding hot then freezing cold so wasn't pleasant and it kept moving to the right of its own accord And to top it off we were awoken by people next door rowing and slamming doors at 2am, tried ringing reception but no answer so we had to suffer it The location isn't too bad but the pub next door has lots of crack heads hanging around begging and the stench of piss is unbearable in the street Breakfast was nice had to wait for food to be replenished but other than that good All in all I wouldn't stay here or recommend it for the snooker as the mercure next to winter Gardens was the same price but looked much nicer

The picture you have attached is not the mattress, the mattress is black below this topper. We do offer to change pillows as people prefer more or less firm or more in additional to the spare in the room. We do not advertise that we have air conditioning. Kind regards

Well located for Crucible but noisy

Chose hotel as the location was good for Crucible theatre but had terrible nights sleep. Room was fine but traffic and trams made it very noisy

It met all my expectations. A comfortable room at a reasonable price, tasty breakfast, centrally located (walking distance from the railway station and city centre), friendly staff. Also important to me, the other guests that we encountered were all similarly pleasant and friendly people,
