« Smelly, dirty, and loud »

The toilets were dirty, no soap to wash your hands there. Bed wasn’t made. We felt unsafe as a family due to loud truck drivers smoking in the open windows and staring at us. We tried to sleep and ultimately left the hotel at 3 in the morning due to the noise and heat in the room.

I arrived just before 10pm after a long six hundred mile drive from Bristol via Paris, the receptionist came over and took my money and booked me in. You didn't use to get this level of service from F1 or Etap hotels or the competition. Well Done. Its all about fitting in the most in every day in business.

nice but toilets dirty. Not the fault of the hotel itself but of the culture of guests... Could be cleaned more often. No soap in toilets !!

Room was ok, but toilets need better cleaning and showers were missing soap dispensers and driers, normally found in other Hotel Formule 1's that we have stayed in. Premises felt tired with a clear need for a repaint especially of the external front entrance.

Night staff friendly and helpful, a battery was missing from tv remote. Morning staff coped well with individual who set off fire alarms by burning his toast. Shower head washer missing or worn as it leaked from the wrong places, sorry I should have mentioned it but perhaps a weekly check on your part would be good. The people were great, the building seemed in need of a refit compared to other newer hotelf1s that I have used.

I have stayed in many F1 hotels as they are easy to find and have what I need to help me continue on my journey. This hotel was no different apart from one very important aspect - it was a terrible night for sleeping! Unfortunately several other guests made a huge amount of noise which was a terrible disturbance and made sleeping almost impossible. Doors were banging shut, raised voices heard, children running around and shouting. I looked once from my bedroom door to see where the noise was coming from but couldn't see anybody. I tried to sleep but because of the noise I could only sleep for a few minutes at a time the whole night - even with earplugs. I was surprised it continued as long as it did and was appalled at the total lack of consideration shown by the people making so much noise in a place where they know other people are trying to sleep! Nobody did anything about it and there was nobody to ask to intervene. There was no management whatsoever. I learned in the morning from another guest that it was Ramadan. So that explained why there was so much disturbance but does not in any way excuse it. Of course people have the right to follow the practices of their religion but NOT when those practices will disturb others. It was no different to people having a party the whole night and I'm sure that would not be tolerated so why was this excused?! I found the selfishness displayed by these people totally disgusting. To avoid the possibility of going through this again in case there might be people practicing Ramadan whilst staying in the Hotel next time I will check my stay does not coincide with a religious practice when people behave like it's daytime at night!

It is not the first time I stay at Hotel Formule 1. However, this time it was very disappointing being given a smoking room which really smelt bad. My wife and I are non smokers and it was not a very confortable night. I just wish you could be given the choice online at time of booking whether you'd prefer a smoking room or not. There were also some loud arguments between guests on the floor above but that is out of the control of the hotel I'd guess. I do hope my next stay in one of your hotels in 10 days time "DWCBMZTB" will be better.

The hotel was being rebuild and that caused discomfort; No people at the reception, sounds in the morning (workers?) and the hotel was in a degraded condition. Someone had taken a dump in one shower (!!) and the other was very dirty. A lot of guests were (foreign) (worker)men in vans who kept drinking and smoking at the entrance untill late.

Builders and work to showers going on, no toilet or shower near our room. Many guests arrived after us but we were given room near building work. Very poor, not prepared for this, would have stayed elsewhere

We did not have a good night, as the room was very warm and smelly. There was no toilet paper available for most toilets. The bed was okay. If the hygiene would be improved, I would come back, cause location and price are perfect.

Staying at hotel F1 has been always a great experience but this hotel in particular showed some obvious disfunction. The hotel was in construction but the main door was always open during the night and the safety door at the back of the hotel also (broken), that meant that anybody just could enter the hotel during the night to access the rooms. The room was clean but the sheets and cover were very old. For the price of one night, it is a great experience but when I came back at 2h00 in the morning at the hotel and saw the access to the hotel was so easy, I got scared for my own stuff left in the room. Thanks anyway and will visit you again.
