Four nights. Very pleased with the overall service and location but the rooms we had were very dated and dingy. As a Diamond member, I expected nicer rooms.

The hotel feels a tiny bit in need of revamp. Fixtures maybe outlived their time. Nothing in the minibar! Seems like wasted revenue opportunity. But staff were excellent as was view from Terrace suite. Price was fair given the size of rooms, and again the terrace was ridiculously large. Great for entertaining couple of friends. Although some outdoor lighting wouldn’t go amiss. Overall if price stayed same I’d be happy to stay again.

Not the best Sofitel experience

Platinum M. Couples - Confirmed reviews ALL

There is not much to offer for platinum membership loyalty re complimentary breakfast or Executive Lounge which, to be fair, is stated when booking. Apparently we had a room upgrade but we were given a lower floor that was very dark due to being next to another building. Platinum membership whenever we have stayed at other Sofitels has meant a high level floor. Room size for New York was good and the hotel accommodated my request for a kettle in the room. Most (but not all) of the staff ignored guests which is very different to other Sofitel Hotels. Toiletries, bedding and linen were the same as other Sofitel hotels. We had friends staying in another hotel and after seeing their room I wish I had booked their hotel which is with another chain. If this is what New York thinks the Sofitel experience should be, they need to be re-educated

We were in 417. The rooms needs a bit of refurbishing several of the electric sockets did not work making it hard to charge devices. The last night our air conditioner leaked started dripping into the rug about 1:00 am. We did not want to movr but did contact engineering
