Nice refurbished room however the airconditioning is not working. It is very (not-comfortable) hot in the room and no option to cool the room other than to open windows. If you advertise that airconditioning is available, it should be able to cool the room.

« OK but always issues with elevators »

Hotel is well located and comfortable, but elevators are a pity, and it is often necessary to wait 5mins to be able to board an elevator. It is even worse when several touristic buses are present.

hotel is being renovated right now (January 2019) ... hence it s not in a normal state. reception is long, fitness room is provisory moved etc. Hope the renovation work will not last toooo long

« Too hot. Smells of smoke. »

The room, while satisfactory in other respects, was too hot upon arrival. I turned off the mechanical ventilation/AC unit and slept with an open window. In JANUARY! As I didn't specifically request a non-smoking room, I should not put the following as a complaint, but there was a faint smell of cigarette smoke in my room. Too late at night so I decided not to approach the front desk for a change of rooms, which I hope they would have accommodated had I asked.

« Things could’ve been better »

My experience overall was ok. I wish it could’ve been excellent given that I came to Paris to celebrate my 40th birthday. First of all, it would’ve been nice to know prior to arrival that a complimentary shuttle was provided to clients of the hotel if they rode the subway to La Defense station. I did not find out about this service until my arrival at the hotel for check in. Knowing that information would’ve saved me time & confusion. Secondly, my personal towel came up missing. This was not my first time in Europe so I know that face towels are not common hence why I packed my own. When my towel came up missing no one offered to make a concession for me. I had to make due with what was provided but it was such a hassle. If your hotel doesn’t offer towels that size, finding my towel should’ve been simple but it was not. Next, the shuttle service. I rode the shuttle one time out of the four days. Consistent Times should be posted. The hotel is not within close proximity to landmarks & museums. That shuttle service is more of an at will service than an amenity. I needed the shuttle to go to the airport on Monday morning. I was told (by one of the managers) that I can wait an hour or find another mode of transportation. Lastly, all was not bad. The ladies at the front desk were nice! And tried to answer my question the best way they could.

On the one hand, we regret that the information about the shuttle service on the site was not enough to prepare your stay. Be aware that during your stay, a duty manager is available by dialing 2424 to provide you with all the necessary information for your stay. The reception team is also able to provide you with information. On the second hand, we totally understand that the confusion with the towels was an inconvenience for you. We really regret this incident and we are saddened to learn that we are also sad to read that our proposal to offer you towels was not enough. Please rest assured that we are taking the appropriate measures to prevent this situation from happening ever again. As covered in the short sentence My reason for a 9 is that I stay at the Mercure every week for 2-3nights for the past 7 weeks. Please add some variety to the menu other than the daily specials board. At least consider changing the menu once per month.

Room was clean and tidy although a little dark in the area with the sofa and TV. Bar was very small and gave up twice when I went to get a drink in the evening. Water came through the ceiling on the last evening, which Im pretty sure is a one-off, but made for a difficult last evening in terms of preparing for departure the following day.

The rooms are comfortable. Location near La Défense is convenient. But there is no or very little service. The front desk is neutral, not specially welcoming. The shuttle service is useful - however, it is a service that is grudgingly provided.

- Professional welcome when I arrived. Really appreciated after a long working day - a "peignoir" was at disposal. Really contribute to well-being. as i have a minimum of luggage, it helps me to have a warm feeling - the new shower capsule system. Interesting. I would suggest to have a system "open' when the customer arrive, so they directly understand how to use. In my case, the system was "locked", so it took me a long time to understand.

« Room hot like Sauna / caught a flu »

I had a room in the basement floor (2) where windows could not be opened to circulate air. So it was very hot in the room. Unfortunately, the air conditioning only blew hot air, even when set to 5°. So it was like having a Sauna in the room. A colleague of mine had the same problem, but left one day earlier. Due to that bad climate and general weather conditions, this led to the fact that I became ill on the last day of my stay. General attendance was good, staff was friendly, paperless check-out worked well.
