I stayed ten months in Mercure Hotel & Residenz Frankfurt Messe. The stay was overall very comfortable. The residence apartments are equipped with all the necessary and allow you to stay even for a longer period. If you are looking for luxury apartment, I do not recommend. However, if you want to have simple and easy stay, I highly recommend. Only downfall was the sauna which was very often out of order.

The hotel was nice but looks like everybody from the staff are unprepared. They made a lot of small mistakes that overall made me feel very unhappy with the hotel.

Good Experience But Air Conditioning Did Not Work and it was very hot in Frankfurt when we spent 2 nights in the city. We had to open the room windows to let the breeze come in to cool down the room temperature.

There are only 2 things I would change. First of all the room was a little bit smelly. It seems like that it was a smokers room in the past. Then, please provide the hotel guests the chance to earn points for the parking tickets. This is common in so many other hotels of the Accor company. Why not here?

It is usually nice I must say though - you did bring back the iron and ironing board... i just called at the reception... and again there is none available. Last time i canceled my reservation at the novotel, because they intriduced the ironing room. Why is it, that you do no longer offer this service Like i said last time - i would understand it at the ibis ...

« Service level lower that expected »

I was used to this hotel beacause I have been visiting it since many years. However the service level is much lower than before and any other hotels I know. I asked for a dental kit and I had to pick it up at the front desk, refridgerators are now empty ( this is weird). My experience of breakfast on the other building in the basement was quite depleasant, I was the only customer and employees were smooking while I was eating and it smelt very bad. So far I have the feeling this hotel has lost it, I did not feel like a valued customer but instead I felt like an annoying person. ( I am exagerating a little, but this is to make the point.)

« I see that the level of service in the hotel is degrading »

the cleanliness of the restroom is not the way it used to be before, the faucets are not shiny and the toilet is not completely clean. the second thing, the irons are not provided in the room, which is very inconvenient, and no 4 stars hotel do this, where they ask the customers to go and iron in the public "ironing room". also, the options in the breakfast have been changed, and for me mainly the omelet station.

« Mostly normal Mercure experience but especially nice management »

Overall a good experience. Improvements could be: That - the shower would have stronger water pressure, - the beds would be a bit softer, - the TV could be used as a second screen for the computer (i.e. standing on the desk instead of being up high). Food is especially good in the restaurant and the staff is very nice.

« Good! But the iron room »

So, i like the staff, the location, the bar, the garden and most of the rooms i occupied. I canceled my bookibgs from the novotel, to stay in the mercure. I did that because, they stopped their service to bring the iron to the rooms, but instead opened an ironing room... now you did the same thing. THIS, to me, is very poor for a four star hotel. I dont know if you can feel the frustration of canceling the booking and then to hear the same thing also at the mercure. I would be very happy if you brought that service back. Ive heared, that the lady that used to run the novotel is now working at the mercure. An iron room is more suited for a ibis hotel. Maybe you tell her that?

« Ok for short-term stay, low quality »

Pros: Well connected, a lot of storage space, quiet, staff always available, OK cleaning service for the most common stuff, comfortable bed, nice view for half the apartments (those facing the garden). Cons: a) The room has carpeting on the floor which means its very dirty from years of use, the air is dusty and unhealthy. b) You can only access the internet through vouchers that last only one week, and most importantly, you get automatically disconnected every 6 hours or so and you must type the same passwords, again and again, every day. b) No attention to detail at all- everything has a stain or is not working properly: my couch had a white liquid stain that never got cleaned, laundry machine door is broken forever, shoe shining machine never has any liquid etc.
