Location is very nice, easy to get to a variety of different sites and locations. Rooms are very nice and clean, hotel is very quiet. Staff was extremely helpful and pleasant, easy to deal with and no request was too trivial.

Early check in for a fee only which seemed a flat policy. Decor of hallway with black newsprint and garish doors was very gloomy and quite frankly, ugly. Not a great first impression. Room was basic but hand drawn map on wall was interesting and fun. A bit tired overall.

I loved the hotel and the staff and location could not have been better. Not a fan of the open bathroom, although it did make the room feel much larger, but the closet and storage space was rather inadequate.

The initial room we were offered felt very claustrophobic and dark with an outside wall only a very small distance from the window. I asked for a lighter room and was informed that the only room which had more natural light was the next category up. I had to pay an extra 30 Euro per night. The room we moved to, whilst bigger, was still very gloomy.

We felt very special from the moment we checked in with extra attention being paid to us by the guest services manager. The room was fantastic we were given special extras as we were celebrating an anniversary that were very appreciated. « Initially apprehensive about the lack of privacy in the open bathroom design, we found the design very practical and met our needs better than an enclosed bathroom design. »

We stayed 3 nights in Room 124 which faced the back, so it was quiet. The room size was adequate for the 2 of us. I used the sofa for my suitcase and my friend used the luggage rack, but he had no staging area for his clothes, so he used the floor. Another luggage rack would have been handy for him or for me, so the couch would be freed up for sitting. We were concerned about the lack of privacy as the bathroom design was different. The sink was in full view of the beds and the toilet had its own door as did the shower. We found that in reality the 'open' design of the bathroom proved to be efficient as one could be using the toilet while the other was in the shower. In a conventional bathroom, the person would be hogging up the whole bathroom for one function. We solved the privacy issue by leaving the opaque glass shower door open while you dry yourself outside of the shower stall so you can't be seen by the other person from the bed. We found the room comfortable. The twin beds were a bit soft and could use new firmer ones. The bedding and comforter were nice. The round mirrors on both sides of the sink wall was clever. The 5xmagnifying mirror was attached much too high and too far away to be of any use, unless you were 6ft 2 inch tall or more and would need to hunch over the sink to get close to the mirror. So I would suggest moving this mirror to the other side of the wall and at a level for a 5'4" person to use. The lighting was good for makeup. Another suggestion is putting a clothing hock on the closet door facing the toilet. The refrigerator was a good idea, but it did make noise, so we turned it off. The bottle water was highly appreciated. Also the terrycloth bathrobe and slippers were appreciated.

Hotel room was lovely, we couldn’t fault that. However when we first arrived at the hotel we were asked to leave a deposit of £50 and we would get it back at the end as long as nothing was wrong with the room. However the last day we were only given 19.30 euros back and told we were charged taxes each day? Taxes for what? I’d paid for the hotel in full and yet you take more money off us? We didn’t eat/drink in the hotel so you have no right just to take our money. Especially after telling us we would get it back at the end of our stay and because of that we most certainly will not be staying again. Fuming is an understatement.
