« Absolutely my worst experience in my 41 years of travel »

We could not swim as pool was packed with people that were not guest of the hotel It was like a bunch ofanimals going to drink from the river we were not told of outsider pool party and it was disgusting as people were very noisy and out of controll on top of not having any sleep the night before as doors were slammed in holway untill 12.30 am The first impact was 10 minutes after we arrived when we had lunch ,we 3 club sandwiches which is supposed to be turkey or chicken with lettuce tomato bacon instead we got mayonnaise sandwiches with 1 once of chicken and egg salad the bread was so socked in mayonnaise we had to sand them back and the waiter kept insisting the club sandwiches in italy are different first of all you dont put mayo untill you ask costumer says yes second the bacon goes inside sandwich and not on a tooth pick on side of the plate It was so bad we checked out 1 day before I repeat it again ( worst expirience of my 41 years of travel) Novotel never again

When I arrived I was hungry - I was told the kitchen didn't open until 7pm, but I could food at the bar. No food was available at the bar. There was nothing left due to what appeared to big a large group of people staying perhaps a training or convention. The bar was swamped with people buying drinks. I was able to get some chips and olives. A friend was coming to meet and stay with me, we had an early flight. She tried to call the hotel for the shuttle but couldn't get through. Then she called me. I made the shuttle arrangements. She raced to the meeting point. After 30 minutes she was still in the airport and called me again. I called the desk - apparently they did not see her. It seems with my call - someone would have looked for her. In the end she took a cab - it was very late and she was alone at the airport. When she finally arrived the kitchen was closed. So - no dinner, unless we took a cab to a restaurant. When I complained the staff they were very understanding and offered a larger breakfast instead of the express. That was nice. And also two free drinks - which was nice, but would have been nicer with food. Honestly from my point of view it looked like the hotel was understaffed for a large event and guests suffered. The staff was ALWAYS kind and polite in every interaction. Doing their best to help.

Nice hotel, very nice and helpful staff, good facilities. 1 comment, which I should have told reception but was in a hurry leaving: the AC in the room didn't cool. It was only putting out hot air.

About the air conditioning, it is activated only at certain times of the day, during the hottest hours of course. The heating is no longer active. Lately, the temperatures have been very variable, so it is difficult to establish at what times to activate the a/c because the situation is subjective and we try to cover most of the day to try to meet all the expectations. We booked this flight after a long trip of backpacking through italy as we thought it'd be a nice retreat at the end of a long trip. When we got to the room we were tired and ready for bed. The air conditioner was broken and the ceiling was leaking. We were too tired to repack up and get switched into another room if there was even one available, so we got a horrible night sleep.

I have stayed in this hotel couples times. Once again, they didnt let me down. The room was great, the service was excellent and food was tasty in reasonal price. There was nothing negative! I would definately come back..

The room was very nice and the staff were very pleasant. The only problem I had was that there was a leak in the bathroom on the last day of my stay which was quite annoying. But it was a very nice hotel.

Lovely staff, as usual, nice large rooms. I really was there for a night sleep. Only problem, if I have to name one: the room was incredibly hot... and turning off the heating did not help! To me (and my mum, who was sharing) sleeping in such a hot place is not very healthy...

« Some small issues »

The room 617 had some issues. Although it looks completely renovated, the big shower head was not working, the safe seemed to be out of power and the television was not reacting to the remote control. The last 2 were solved during the day, the shower was still not functioning, only the small head.

« Nice hotel but let down due to the air conditioning in the rooms not working »

Poor experience! The air conditioning in the rooms was not working and when I called reception to ask why they said it was due to pollution in Milan so they could not have the a/c and heating at the same time. I understand why they need to do this but my compliant is that they did not tell me when making the booking. The result was the room was in excess of 25 degrees so you need to open the window, and then you cannot sleep as the hotel is on a very busy road.

I arrived and was greeted by a very friendly staff. The room was clean and comfortable. The only issue I had with my stay was that the air conditioning did not work. By the time I realized this it was very late and I didn't think anyone would be able to fix this issue. This made the room very hot. Luckily I was able to open the window to let some cool air in.

« good hospitality - room a bit expensive but Accor group!! And near to the airport »

I passed 3 nights at this hotel. The hostesses were very friendly. I took my diner at the bar and the barman spoke with me in french! I know I have a very bad english and people understand that I am french. Nevertheless, salad was good and the price not too expensive (we are in Accor hotel near to the airport thus we can't expect to have very good food with good price!). Breakfast is nice. Just the cafe wasn't enough warm. (I can't drink italian expresso - sorry- because too strong!). If I must come back in Milano, for sure, I will book this hotel (if the price is correct)

Nice rooms, they have big flat screen TV and power USB ports by bed. This is great and all hotels should be set up this way as everyone has a smart phone that needs to be charged. USB is universal power cable!!

We have stayed at a few Novotels and this was definitely the worse. Shower in one room broken, in other room there was mold in the shower. Overall cleanliness of the rooms not worthy of 4 star hotel. Positives is the beds.
