« Adequate for nights sleep but expected slightly better from a Novotel. »

The superior room felt dated and well used. Cleaning staff knocked the door several times from 8.30am!

« Good size room but a few issues »

Great bed but one size literally 1Foot from a wall?? Toilet separate from bathroom - why??? Bath - no mat supplied - slippery to the point of being dangerous! Breakfast OK - nothing special and left lying about until fried eggs solid - Parking overpriced though good sized spaces. Reception staff / waiting staff friendly and helpful

The room was fine - clean, well equipped and spacious although décor is tired. The conference room was a good size albeit lacking in natural daylight and the food was good.

The room accommodation was slightly dated and in need of a refresh. Toilet did not include a basin for hand washing. The ground floor restaurant areas were pleasant however, and food quality (breakfast) was very good.

The check in process was quick and easy. The rooms were pleasant although a little dark. Everything was clean although I prefer to not have a separate toilet room and bathroom and my preference is to have a shower cubicle rather than a shower over the bath. Food was good and appetising with plenty of choice for breakfast.

Evening meal was excellent even if I was sat between 2 different background musics (bar and restaurant?), which was a bit weird. Waiting staff member was excellent. Gym and sauna steam facilities excellent - had been used by others already and not very tidy (used towels on the floor, left on seats in the sauna) but accept that you cant keep an eye on it all the time. An extra couple of tea bags would always be welcome, as well as an extra sugar or 2. Otherwise room great.

« Clean, very friendly staff, nice food but poor quality room »

Check in - excellent Cleanliness - spotless and perfect everywhere Room - much more basic than I was expecting. The bathroom was below standard and the separate toilet strange. The rooms need upgrading and a complete renovation of the bathroom is needed. I was on a course the next day and the hotel did not have the room ready on time. It was very draughty as well. Lunch was excellent. Very good quality food and nice and hot. Plenty of choice.

The stay got off to an excellent start at reception. The receptionist was efficient and very welcoming. Our room was very comfortable and met all of our requirements. Breakfast service was calm efficient and the food was very tasty. The location of the hotel is great for concerts at Symphony Hall and the Town Hall.

A great price for the night. Perfect location, good facilities, wifi worked well, ample plug sockets, comfy bed, hot shower. Only minor grumble was having a loo separate to the bathroom. Check in was easy, quick and friendly. Reception decor was warm and welcoming. Hard to fault for the price.
