On May 29, 2019 I sent my first mail to the Novotel Off Grand Place to book five rooms for October 5. I thereafter sent a number of mails because there were some questions and misunderstandings from the hotel. When we got to the hotel and wanted to check in at 17:00, one of the rooms was still not ready! We were told that this delay was due to late check outs. If we had checked in at 15:00 I could have understood but I don’t think it is acceptable because at 17:00 the rooms are not ready, especially when they were booked in May for October.

This location is ideal for exploring the Grote Market and surrounding areas of Brussels on foot. We were greeted right away by friendly staff and the check-in process was quick and easy. The hotel rooms are only accessible in elevator with the room key which gave us an added sense of security. The lobby area was spacious and inviting. The breakfast room was large and offered many options for even the pickiest eater. All staff we encountered were friendly and professional although they may not have spoken our language, English.

Rooms not in line with picture on the net Suites looks like hospital room (very cold atmosphere) Breakfast order put on the door around 8pm for delivery the next morning around 7:30... still awaiting it Dinner room service 50min Should warn customers that not easy access for people with heavy luggages Mentioned it to the receptionist... also that I cancelled my last 2 nights and all next week stay... very poor reaction Never again in this hotel!

Location of the hotel is only a few minuites walk from the train station, very easy to find. Situated on a busy Square but you couldnt hear much at night. Room upgrade was great, and i was very thankful for it. The staff were polite and friendly, the hotel and room was clean with everything in working order. Bar service was good with enough choice of drinks, Breakfast was good with a large choice of food and drinks, this was kept topped up by the atentative staff. Check in and out was swift, as was the baggage drop off process. All in, i would definetly recomend this hotel.

Not the value for money i was expecting for Novotel. Bedroom super small, bathroom sealing was super short, I took shower with my head turned; Air conditioning was not working properly; Cleaning lady on the floor entering the room with the dont disturb sign. Breakfast with very limited options.

Exceptional customer service makes any stay better. This is what you’ll find at NOVOTEL Brussels off grand place. We were provided a complimentary upgrade to a suite, which was a delight. Overlooking the square, it was the perfect place to rest after a busy day of sightseeing. Room itself was expected of NOVOTEL standard (mid-range). However the wonderful Accor welcome overwhelmed any hesitations we had about the room.

Before our arrival date one week I ordered a Taxi through the Hotel by email, they asked my flight number and phone number to confirm and the cost fee 100 EUR but nobody was waiting for us, back home on 8th of October at 11:30 am I went down to the reception and I asked for airport transfer by taxi how much it cost? she told me 100 EUR for Charleroi airport, I confirm her to order a taxi for us at 12:30 pm when we arrived at the airport the taxi driver asked for 163 EUR when I told him the price which I got from the hotel reception, he was laughing and told me it's not true after we called the hotel together and the receptionist lady said she didn't remember how much she told me but give him 150 EUR. The taxi driver didn't give any invoice or receipt.

Good location in the center. Very good. Watch out for room 311 and 312 as internet does not work.

I’m a platinum card holder and always try and stay in a Novotel ... when I travel for business and often like this trip for pleasure. Good points - Reception staff were excellent, friendly and efficient.Room was of a good standard, and location of the hotel was excellent. Bad points - bar service was poor, bar staff seemed a bit clueless when asked questions, also although not busy tables were not cleared. Generally that area seemed pretty tired and a bit shabby. Also the sound was turned up really loud on the tv ... not really a good way to create a good atmosphere ... maybe some music would have been better.

The room and welcome at reception was good. Thus breakfast had severe issues, bacon and egg was cold, high chair for baby was really sticky, coffee machine was just bringing water when trying to get hot chocolate... just not good enough for this high price.

The only thing great about this hotel is the location. The staff at the reception doesn't look friendly during our check-in. We were only provided with one bottle of drinking water for our entire 6 nights stay, it's really pathetic. No basic necessities provided for eg. toothbrush or bedroom slippers. When requested for the toothbrush, slippers and drinking water, we were told that we need to pay 5 Euros. When we tried to call the front desk for a few times, nobody pick up the phone. Nothing of a good experience during our stay in this hotel.

Small, low-ceiling room; breakfast and breakfast area is more cheap than cheerful. The hotel should be an Ibis, at best.
