We have stayed here regularly for many years on the way to and back from our holiday home in the Limousin. Overall always reliably good experience with friendly staff. This time we were disappointed to find the restaurant closed for dinner, especially as we had not been alerted beforehand. Normally I get an email a few days before which gives us time to make alternative arrangements. Hence only a 'satisfied' rating.

As this is not the first time I have stayed, I am familiar with the hotel and its offerings. This time I was slightly disappointed in the restaurant menu, and, as ever, the lack of non alcoholic wines and beers available. I was given one of the disabled rooms this time, as I am unable to climb stairs easily, which was. helpful, but I found it difficult to warm the room sufficiently .. though admittedly, it was cold outside too. But I stay because of its convenient to my travel route and because of the excellent beds!

Luce is very convenient for a stop over in our way from the UK to our holiday home just south of Limoges. We have had our French house for 20 years and have used the Ibis in Luce when we choose not to do the journey in one day, which is happening more often as we get older. We usually have a room on the ground floor which is convenient for our dog and make use of the restaurant in the evening. Our room provides us with all we need at an affordable price. And as a member the points we earn entitles us to the occasional discount.

After being disappointed that the restaurant was closed on our last two stays, I was pleased to enjoy a nice evening meal on this occasion. It's a very convenient stop over when travelling to SW France with a dog!
