Wonderful stay at Raffles ... such a beautiful place to be.

We had a wonderful stay at Raffles. The staff were so attentive, any problems were sorted quickly (our bath plug would not seal) and the butlers are so lovely! The hotel and grounds are beautiful; pristine, spotless and well cared for. The food is amazing - the Raffles signature pancakes are delightfully fluffy. The doormen know every resident from other visitors and are all lovely and welcoming. I went up to the Long Bar to take some photos and was accosted by a very rude Australian woman who kicked my walking stick as I walked past and berated me for not queuing ... this was the only negative comment I have to make - oh, and please consider lowering the price of the Raffles gin because at Changi airport, its half the price of your shop.

We had an amazing experience at the Raffles the staff members are extremely friendly. The rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable which is important, also have Dyson blow dryers . We loved the breakfast and the fresh juice was delightful!! The concierge team was helpful with hotel reservations and making sure we never had to stand in the VERY long lines for the Long Bar. The hotel is a tourist stop for pictures and the staff does a great job of keeping the hotel guests the priority and keep visitors from entering past the hotel lobby. I would definitely recommend this hotel not only for its history but its beauty. Love the touch that they name the rooms after the famous stars and royalty that have stayed. Walked by John Wayne’s room on my way to the coffee shop. Check out the hall of fame hallway!!

From the very first second, on pick up at the airport, to the last moment of saying goodbye on departure, this was the most perfect stay at Raffles. The whole experience was truly wonderful; the stunning rooms, the main guest area, restaurants, grounds and every member of staff was fantastic. The attention to detail was beyond anything I've ever experienced in a hotel previously and the whole experience was out of this world!

Fantastic hotel. We had two visits to Singapore recently and each time we visited Raffles. First time we went to The Long Bar for Singapore Slings, there was a small queue but only for 10 minutes or so. Worth the wait and the expense. Our Slings were one traditional and one a teatotal sling, very nice. A very enjoyable experience, one we'll definitely do again. Our second visit was for afternoon tea which was very nice. Good selection of tea. Really nice sandwiches, cakes and we got 3 scones each, it was all extremely good. There's a lovely atmosphere, a lady playing the harp. Very nice polite professional staff. It was a wonderful experience and one we will never forget. Raffles also have a boutique where they sell souvenirs including Sling glasses of which we purchased quite a few.

One of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. Our number one hotel is the Ritz in Paris, but the Raffles Singapore is a very close second. We arrived from California at 5:45 am, and despite the fact that check in was 3 pm, the front desk was able to get us into our room a hour later. Very much appreciated after a 16 hour flight. The lobby is amazing. Huge, clean, impressive. While we were waiting for our room we had breakfast at Tiffin. It was amazing. Wonderful fruit, fantastic eggs benedict, and great service. After breakfast we were taken to our room. Huge room, high ceilings, very clean, and personalized note with bottle of wine and chocolates for our honeymoon. Later, we went to Long Bar to try the famous Singapore Sling. There was a long line to get in, but as quests of the hotel, we were able to walk right in. Drinks we great, and throwing peanut shells on the floor was a different experience. We had dinner in the Raffles Courtyard, again, great food and service. Singapore is an amazing city, we will be back, and when we do, we will be staying at the Raffles. It is significantly more expensive than the Ritz Carlton or the Four Seasons, but we tried the Ritz on our way back from the Maldives, and the Raffles is so much better. Better food, much better room, better amenities, and substantially better service. Bite the bullet and stay at the Raffles, it is truly an iconic experience.
