Claustrophobic

My Partner and I regrettably stayed here for two nights, after the first night we contemplated checking out and staying at alternate accommodation however everything had been paid for in full and we were not confident we’d receive our money back for the second night and so we endured it. The rooms are deceptively small, what you see pictured online is what you get but at a smaller scale. There is little to no storage. There isn’t even room for an in room safe, however they do offer to bring one up to your room which defeats the purpose entirely, as anyone (assuming they can enter your room) can just walk out with said safe and all of your valuables. The room we stayed in was situated on the sixth floor and we could hear the ongoings of everything happening outside, the blackout curtains would not close fully and so we had the street light polluting the room. The bathroom is in dire need of a detail clean. The shower was absolutely abysmal, no water pressure whatsoever. We didn’t feel clean for two days. Housekeeping is practically non existent, with them only servicing your room every 4 days. We stayed only two and I had to request clean towels on the second night. All in all, if you’re needing a place to stay just for the night, this place is suitable however if you’re looking to stay a while and you’re on a budget I would opt for somewhere else, the Ibis Styles perhaps? My Partner and I decided to stay another night in Brisbane and so we checked into The Johnson Hotel, which is one of ACCOR’s Art Series Hotels and we had a much more enjoyable stay.

Decent would stay again

No complaints. Small but pleasant room. Good location. Friendly and helpful receptionist. All clean which is always a bonus. Happy overall with my 2 night stay and would recommend to single Travellers. The bed might be small for a couple ! Nice pillows.

Great pillow menu; very small room but very clean with all conveniences and comfortable bed! great as an overnighter or for those who only require somewhere to sleep! Located close to St Andrews Hospital in Spring Hill and walking distance into city.

The room is quite nice, albeit small but the carpet obviously wasn’t the best choice, nor were the material bedheads which both had stains which gives the feeling of unclean. We also found a cockroach running around the room which didn’t help that feeling. Bed comfy and the option to select different style pillows was a nice touch. Staff friendly. Good location.

The photos depicting the rooms and views certainly do not reflect my room in any way. My room overlooked the laneway that contained rubbish bins and a brick wall. There was no natural light in my room. The noise from rubbish being put into the bins late at night along with the bins being collected at 4am did not provide a pleasant experience. The main reason for the rating tis related to the putrid stench from the bathroom drains. I reported this to staff upon leaving the hotel early in the morning, and upon my return that evening the smell was just as bad, if not worse, and had not been addressed, along with the sink not draining properly. I have read (now) other reviews and this seems to be a known issue.
