Lovely family friendly Hotel

Well located - so convenient with the tram stop right behind the hotel . Very family friendly hotel. The three bedroom apartment we stayed in was so clean. We are a finicky bunch and the level of cleanliness far exceeded our expectations . Just the lighting in the apartment can be improved.

Great complex. Rooms and cleaning need dramatic improvement.

At first the room seemed fine. Spacious with a great view. However, problems with cleanliness and upkeep were sorely lacking. The photos speak for themselves. Previous reviews have often said the same with a standard response from management along the lines of, 'Privately owned, doing our best to make owners maintain to standard'. However, the Mantra name is attached to the experiences and, I would suggest, is doing damage to the brand. We experienced a bathroom door that would not latch, let alone lock, a shower that did not work properly, food scraps on the floor under the couch, torn curtains and balcony glass that we had to clean so that we could see through it. Oh! And a bag of stuff in the cupboard labelled Owner's Things!!! The complex was lovely and pool areas were great. We especially enjoyed the plunge pool. Could be a great place if Mantra's normal standards were maintained. Still had a great time though.

Love this hotel. Great rooms, excellent gym, pools, spa and steam room. Would definitely stay again. Perfect location for tram travel to theme parks and shopping centres. Bathroom & bedroom were clean amd tidy. Five minute walk to beach..

Another enjoyable stay

This was my second stay at Sun City. After previously enjoying our stay with family in a 3 bdrm apartment (32nd floor), my daughter booked a surprise stay for her and I in a 2 bdrm ocean apartment (19th floor), and we weren't disappointed. Yes, the kitchen and bathroom decor is dated, but the apartment itself was spacious, clean, well equipped, had a nice homely feel and had beautiful views. King beds were comfortable. Showers had good pressure. Air-conditioning worked great. Hotel is happy to replace more dish detergent/loo paper etc if needed at reception area. Grounds/pool area always looks immaculate and hotel lobby/corridors always smelled fresh and clean. We always bring our own beach towels along, as i'm not sure whether they supply towels for swimming. Tram directly out front, but also just a short walk to Cavill Ave shopping precinct. Close to beach. Disappointed Koastal Kitchen is now only open for breakfast, but apart from that (and the windy weather), I couldn't fault our stay there and I'm glad my daughter chose to stay here again. Would definitely return in future.

Stayed here a few times, although an older building, offers large apartments, great views & lovely facilities , clean & tidy, quiet location just north of Surfers , the light rail is at the door step to easy to get around, walking distance to restaurants, and a bottle shop and well stocked convenience store a short walk from Sun City. Self contained rooms , very comfortable.
