If I could live at this hotel I would, myself and my partner were upset to leave. Utter luxury and you get so much for your money. The rooms are incredibly private and large. Staff can not do enough for you. Would recommend you get at least a partial sea view villa, it makes a real difference, we decided to upgrade after reading reviews and it made all the difference. Food is lovely, being in a resort it is slightly more expensive but in my view justified. We did a lot of the experiences they offer and would recommend!

Best location. Total privacy, with an amazing service.

The hotel is amazing. The villas and private pools are just what you need for a great relaxing day. The private beach is stunning and the boat trip on Banyan Tree boat around Samui is very recommended. Try to stay in a villa close to the central area, so you won’t need the buggy service all the time. The service is outstanding. Chan, Bozo and the rest of the team did a fantastic job taking care of us.

Retreat, Reset & Reenergize

Unique-We loved the ‘naturalness’ of the Banyan Tree resort which certainly supports a relaxing and restorative stay. The villas were located with what appeared to be minimal disruption to the natural flora/fauna. This was our first Banyan Tree experience but will not be our last. We loved the efforts to respect the environment whilst providing top class hospitality. Outstanding - The service level was in our view top class and we have both travelled extensively and been lucky enough to enjoy 5 star plus hotels. A 'shout out' especially for our villa host Nan who, from the moment we arrived to our departure, was on-hand for every question and organized behind the scenes to ensure our stay was immaculate. Staff were polite and attentive. Housekeeping maintained the beautiful villas with a top class turn down service including scented incense. Built 14 years ago, the condition of the villas today in the tropical climate of Samui, pays tribute to the original high quality design and fabrication. We loved the views from our ocean view villa across the beach and Lamai bay at all times of the day. Service from hospitality was generally super and Gigg, Film and Poom at Sands provided some fantastic Thai food and beach cocktails. The pristine, private beach was perfect for relaxing, swimming and there is a small reef with several varieties of fish/coral. The recreation manager Rang encourages guests to make use of the cayaks, snorkelling equipment and boards. Excellent - The breakfast buffet was definitely in the top 3 we have experienced and was a real treat whether your preference is for fresh 'green' juice and fruit or any savoury option and endless coffees. A fantastic start to every day. We enjoyed the Thai food at Sands, but be sure to ask for spicy. Portions were generous. We were celebrating anniversaries and a birthday and spent 12 days at the resort. Located just 30 mins from the airport.

Moreover, it is wonderful that you were impressed with the attentive service and quality of the cuisine and drinks provided by our team at Sands including Gigg, Film and Poom. I am pleased to know that you learned about our ongoing commitment to Sustainability and took notice of the various ways in which we support this pillar of our brand. Amazing stay, wonderful staff. No problems getting around the property with the quick shuttle service. Clean and updated property in great condition. Would recommend for families. We stayed three nights and it was the perfect amount of time.
