Huge rooms and convenient location

Spent couple of days there recently. It is across the road from airport and that's a big thing if you dont really have to go to the city. Hotel has very big rooms and beds. View to the airport but not a single noise. Hotel has great restaurant and breakfast.ots of facilities (I missed having a swimming pool).

Excellent location when travelling. We had an early international flight so flew in on Great Barrier Air from Whitinga the morning before. The hotel was accommodating and let us in the room early. The following morning we checked out early with out a hassle. The room was very comfortable. Large bathroom and all amenities. Just a short walk across the road to international departures and arrivals.

Superior airport hotel

We only booked this hotel because we had a connecting flight the following day and needed to be close to the airport. This hotel is less than a five-minute walk from the terminal. We didn’t expect to be impressed having stayed at some pretty awful airport hotels but the Novotel was excellent. On a previous trip we had been “upgraded” to The Pullman which is right next door but frankly we preferred the Novotel. The Novotel room was chic and quiet and the bed was comfortable. We both thoroughly enjoyed the dinner we had in the Novotel restaurant and the breakfast buffet was far superior to breakfasts we’ve had at pricier hotels.

Convenience well worth the extra $$

Great place to rest after a late flight. Landed at 7.30pm and after the usual customs process, a quick walk across the walkway to the Novotel saw us settled in our room and ready to rest and relax before our onward journey next morning. Yes, you can get cheaper off-site, but we had to pickup a car from the airport the next morning, so the convenience was worth the few extra $$. Beautifully clean king room, with a bath, which was a delight after a day travelling; onsite restaurant offering a range of great meals and drinks. No noise from the adjacent building site. Great staff.

Don’t bother with Thirteen restaurant

Room was great, but do not attempt to eat at Thirteen - chaotic kitchen with lovely, apologetic servers trying to keep it together. Go to the Pullman or to the airport cafes if you want to see the food you ordered within a calendar window. Such a shame.
