Perfect Location, Excellent Hotel and Amazing Staff

Our decision to stay at the Fairmont Rio De Janeiro was an excellent one. Being located between Copacabana and Ipanema Beaches, it’s an ideal location. I’d worked with Concierge Claudio V in advance of our stay to ensure we had airport pickup on our arrival day and Cruise Ship Terminal drop off on our departure day. We were greeted at the airport and escorted to our waiting vehicle. When we arrived at the hotel, we were taken up to the 4th floor Gold Check-in desk to find out we’d been upgraded to room 905. This suite has a living room, bedroom, huge bathroom and 4 balconies which give unbelievable views to both Copacabana Beach, Fort Copacabana and Ipanema. Amazing facility with excellent pools to relax by and great music at night. We also enjoyed the food and drinks in the Gold Lounge on the 4th floor and the TropiK Beach Club. Fairmont Rio De Janeiro is an excellent facility in a perfect location with amazing service and food. Our stay was unforgettable.

For pleasure or business this hotel is a most. The best view of bay. You know for me security is all, this hotel is beyond that starting with guards everywhere, CCTV, card in elevators to access the right floor or gym or pool. My entire recommendation.

Excellent location, breakfast requires variety - I stayed for a month and it was the same stuff everyday. Hit and miss with the service - sometimes they don’t pick up my laundry, several times I had to call to refill my shower gel, constant knocks on the door to either return my laundry, provide drinking water, or offer turn down service - up to 3 knocks per evening. For the price I paid per night I expect a little more.

Our entire stay at the Fairmont was perfect, from the kind and professional staff, the comfortable rooms with its amazing view on the bay to the great location of the hotel in Rio! The Tropik restaurant and beach club across the street was also a very nice option for drinks and a casual dinner!!

Everything was perfect from check-in to check-out. Everyone in the staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcomed. It starts even before your check-in with emails they send before you're due to go in. There was this special touch - they delivered a welcome card with 4 brigadeiros to my room.
