Horrible experience do to Canelle

I always came to this hotel but will Be the last one do the horrible treatment of the night receptionist call Canelle. She treat me super in a horrible way. She denied to me the welcome drink and the upgrade (I a gold member). Pls review and train your staff to treat your customers respectfully.

I am sorry that your experience did not live up to your expectations; allow me to offer you my sincerest apologies. As stated when you arrived, the benefits of the loyalty program are only available to guests booking via our All.com website. The reservation you are refering to was not booked with our All.com website, therefore as per the loyalty program’s guidelines, you were not eligible to the benefits associated with our loyalty program. All your reservations with us have been made via online agencies (Expedia, Agoda) and you never got an upgrade in our hotel. We may have given you a welcome drink before as a mistake which might have been confusing and we are sorry for that. We understand your disappointment and I am truly sorry if you have felt that my behaviour was horrible to you. I can assure you that I only applied the hotel’s procedure and the ALL membership program recommandations. Yours sincerely Canelle Front Office Supervisor

Fabulous hotel, amazing and friendly staff, very clean and comfortable! Transportation is convenient to the city. Looked like a safe area at night, no issues. There are some restaurants in the area. When using Uber, give location as Novotel (a hotel nearby, few minutes walk), because for some reason Uber drivers don't know how to get there (drivers' fault, nothing to do with the hotel); no issue with taxi drivers as they know to access the hotel.

Poor experience. Unfriendly and aloof reception staff, pokey little room, rock hard bed (needed two mattress softeners to sleep), hugely expensive food. Nothing to recommend it at all. This hotel used to be a Sofitel and it was much better when that chain owned it. MGallery has worsened it a lot.

At the face of it it seems to tick all boxes but the hotel isn't quite 5 star in terms of comfort and grace. Its set in a business district and all neighbouring eateries maintain business hours for most of weekend. Even the starbucks which opens up within teh hotel was found to be closed most of the evenings. The beds and pillows are not comfortable enough. Air conditioner is too ancient to allow suitable controls. As per the reception staff at the time of check-in, we were 'upgraded' to a deluxe room but I dont think that was true. Nor was there a 'jug full of water' as per his response - instead just the normal tap water in the tea kettle. Not going to go back.

This hotel is great. The staff were warm and accommodating and helpful with my poor ability to speak french. The location is great, near the M line metro station that goes to almost all the tourist sites. You can see the Eiffel tower and the Arc Triumph from there. There is a shopping centre close by that you can grab something to eat. The rooms are large as are the bathrooms. Very comfortable and clean beds. The hotel is tastefully decorated and I cannot say enough about how helpful the staff was. The only downside was everything in the area except the shopping centre is closed Sunday and Mondays. This includes the restaurant to the hotel. However they still managed to get me a drink when i needed one and very quickly. They also called me on my cell phone and advised me of the closures, The only issue was that i didn't have a sim card for Europe so i didn't get the message until i got home. They did try. We would not hesitate to stay here again. We will come back , but on a Tuesday. I found everyone that we came in touch with in Paris wonderful. They are warm, friendly ,kind and accommodating to us with our poor french. I will brush up on my language skills and come back again soon. See Julie at the front desk , i can't think of anyone nicer to be greeted by.
