Great location, but needs service improvements

When we arrived there was a tradesmen working in the room who advised we shouldn’t have been given access to the room. The soap dispenser in the bathroom was empty and the room safe locked open. All were fixed promptly when raising it with the team but no apology provided. Our room keys also deactivated early and couldn’t access the room on the last day until reactivated. Balcony doors were very hard to open and one wouldn’t lock properly. Great location and quality of rooms, however service needs to be improved and work maintenance/housekeeping.

Leading up to our stay, great communication between the check in team and me. The car parking arrangements was lightly confusing and better direction with signs in the carpark. I was on crutches on arrival trying to find the lift was slightly confusing and we had to seek help. Bathroom around the shower indoor and outdoor of the shower area looked uncleaned with darker hair left everywhere. Mugs in the cupboard had coffee stain rings inside the mug. Loved that restaurants were close but being on crutches it would have been good to have a direction to go too not me guessing and hoping around.

On arrival the greeting was warm & friendly. The young man acknowledged my birthday with a bottle of wine & chocolates 🍫 I was very surprised & happy. Very delicious tooo. The room was extremely spacious quiet & clean. Mattress very comfortable. We were impressed by the out door pool & entertainment area, barbecue, billiard table etc. If we needed anything or some help the reception staff were fantastic nothing was a problem.
