Disappointing Stay at Novotel Konya in April 2024 - Feedback and Concerns

Dear Novotel Konya Team, I am reaching out to share my experience during our stay at your property in the first week of April 2024, which, regrettably, did not meet the expectations we had of the Novotel brand. Our primary concern was the lack of air conditioning in our rooms, despite the uncomfortably warm temperatures. We were informed that the AC system across the hotel is activated only in the second week of April, a policy that significantly impacted our comfort and well-being. The suggestion to open the large windows, while meant as a solution, presented safety concerns for us, especially since we were traveling with children. Additionally, this led to a secondary issue: the noise from traffic outside was constant throughout the night, disturbing our sleep. Another significant disappointment was the absence of vegetarian options in the dining facilities. Given the reputation of Novotel for accommodating diverse dietary needs, it was surprising and disheartening to find no vegetarian dishes available, limiting our dining experiences and overall enjoyment of our stay. Turkey is renowned for its beauty and hospitality, qualities we looked forward to experiencing at your hotel. However, the lack of basic amenities and consideration for guest comfort has left us with a less favorable impression of Novotel Konya. We chose your hotel trusting in the quality and service Novotel is known for globally. Unfortunately, our experience in April 2024 fell short of these expectations. I hope this feedback will be taken constructively, leading to improvements that will enhance the experience for future guests. Warm regards

Mediocre hotel needing attention

The room was small and tight. Bathroom was small also Lighting was poor. Located in a congested area with nothing to do. TV had few channels. Window did not close so we had to switch rooms. Still noisy from traffic. Exit sign not lit on floor. Bath tub did not drain. Tile cracked on the floor. Towel rack grab bar loose. Hotel not kept up. Dinner however was good with good desserts. AC not working well also.

The overall experience was good. Good linen and good toiletries were a comfort. The sleep quality was not so good as our room was by the side of road and the noices were disturbing (although the room was on fourth floor). The breakfast was good in quality and quantity.

This would have been good except for the poor air conditioning that seemed impossible to fix. The rooms are pretty decent and there is a good breakfast. Dinner was pretty good too with plenty of choise available

Average rooms but fantastic breakfast buffet

The hotel is situated outside the main city centre in a mostly residential area. The rooms are basic with amenities. (Soap and shampoo only ) in pump bottles affixed to the walls. The fixtures and fittings are a little tired and some things broken, cracked or worn. The bed is extremely comfortable if you like a firm mattress. The pool is unfortunately permanently closed. The fitness centre was disappointing. 2 of the 3 running machines were not operational, there was no water or towels available. The sanitation spray was empty and equipment rundown. The buffet breakfast is spectacular. The quality and variety of the food was fantastic and so many floor staff helping and clearing tables. Over all an average experience with the highlight being the restaurant.
