Although its not our first time staying here but condition of the hotel has changed considerably especially since our last stay was back in 2020 before COVID-19. Their room is still ok, clean and quite spacious, adequate amenities provided and service upon arriving from Front Desk & bellboy is friendly. The let down is the breakfast, which is now served at the poolside area (outdoor) no longer in their restaurant. The area is so messy and loud, full of children & people who is swimming as well as the hotel seems running full house on that day. Food on the buffet despite good variety, most of them are already finished by 9 AM & the refill takes forever. Apart from the food, plates, cutleries & glasses were not available as well . The ambience of the breakfast venue is chaotic with most of the table left dirty. Not a good sight for a 5-star hotel, felt like it was more of a 3-star experience.

Pelayanan nya kurang ramah, dan penyajian makanan lama, but overall the foods are delicious. And the ambiance is comfortable. I like listening to the music while i eat the food here. I wish that i could celebrate my event here again, thank you

Nice and clean hotel. Very comfortable beds. Breakfast is plentiful and very delicious but it is the same every day…some variety would be good. Staff are very friendly and helpful. A little disappointed with the lack if knowledge of the staff as to the attractions and shopping in Medan. Needs to be a exit/entry to the hotel from the road for guests that like to walk…always felt like you were going through a car park when entering or leaving the hotel on foot. Laundry costs are very expensive so would get washing done off site easily and at a fraction of the cost. This was disappointing. Hotel restaurant food was quite average. Room, shower and bathroom very good.

2-night stay for 5 adults in 3 rooms Upside: (1) Rooms - They appeared to have been renovated, so were generally fresh and clean. Beds and pillows were firm and comfortable. Air-conditioning was efficient. (2) Food - Poolside buffet included in room rate offered a good selection of Indonesian and international food. However, only brewed coffee was offered; no espresso-based drinks. Orchid restaurant just off the lobby served delicious Indonesian-style nasi goreng. (3) Location - Short distance by car to many locations in downtown Medan, such as DeliPark Mall, Centre Point Mall, Tjong A Fie mansion, train station, etc. Downside: (1) Gym - While relatively large in terms of space, the gym's equipment was old and poorly maintained. Air-conditioning was inefficient. Disappointing experience for a hotel of this standard, especially relative to the better condition of the hotel's other public areas/facilities. (2) Minor maintenance issues - Hair dryer in one room wasn't working. Reported to front desk, but issue wasn't fixed. Shower handle/rainforest head mixer cap in one bathroom came off when pulled. Maintenance attempted to wrap plumber's tape so that the cap could be screwed back in, but it came off again a day later. Water could still be directed either to the shower handle or rainforest head by pulling the bare metal road. (3) Ineffective soundproofing - External noise from hotel's surroundings could enter via the windows. Nature of sounds depends on time of day and room facing.
