Great stay at Mercure. The bed was comfy and the curtains done a great job blacking out the room, so we had a wonderful night's sleep. It was very quiet too, so no disturbance. Loved the heated floor in the bathroom. The only let down was the shower. Either very hot or very cold.

Disappointed with the bed, the base was at least a foot bigger than the double mattress and the actual headboard was meant for a super king. The bed light switches were not within reach of the bed either! Otherwise the facilities were satisfactory

It’s been a while since I stayed at my go-to hotel in MK and it’s as good as ever. A warm welcome as always, a big comfortable bed and a blissfully quiet room. The location of this hotel backing on to a golf course means that it’s very peaceful which is amazing being so close to MK and the A5. Highly recommended.

We just had our family gathering this weekend past with 41 members of the family in attendance. The entire process from arranging and booking rooms, group discount, reserving the restaurant, the table service and food quality was excellent. I genuinely felt all of the staff couldn’t do enough to help. Everyone was impressed with room quality and staff in both the hotel and restaurant. We are likely to use The MK Mercure for future events.

Better description of rooms on website needed

This was our second stay. There is a lot that is good about this hotel. The rooms are comfortable and spacious; there is lots of car parking. But the information about the rooms on the website is not as complete as it could be and as a result we ended with a room that was not ideal for us. It did not specify that there was no lift to the upper floor. If it had I would have requested a room on the lower floor as my husband, while not formally disabled, finds too many stairs difficult. The room I booked looked as if it had a walk-in shower but it had a shower over the bath which again my husband could not use and I would find difficult. (Luckily we were only staying for one night!) Again if I had realised this could happen I would have specifically requested a room with a walk in shower. The final irritation was finding no water in the room so I had to go down and buy an expensive bottle from the bar. I was told that a decision had been made to install a water fountain on the ground floor - so one would have to take one's glass and fill it there. A minor point but after the disappointment with the room it did not help.
