Overcharged for a dirty room and pitiful breakfast, with no customer service

I didn't expect much but this Ibis hotel massively avoided living up to even low expectations. Advanced rate wasn't honoured on arrival. I had an email saying there was no more to pay but the receptionist seemingly couldn't do anything about this and explained that the additional costs had already been put on our card. Then realised on looking at our invoice that we'd also been charged for 3 breakfasts when there were only 2 of us. Spoke to a different receptionist who noted this down in a book for the management. The room had clearly either not been cleaned or only had the sheets and towels replaced. There was dirt around the sink, in the shower tray and on the ladder of the bunk bed including some hairs, which fortunately, we didn't need to use. The radiator in our room had fallen off the wall and there were exposed wires - I wouldn't have felt safe staying there with children. Decided not to raise this as it was late when we arrived and our welcome experience had been so poor that we didn't have much faith anything would be resolved. Next morning, we headed down to breakfast at 9am. It was due to finish at 9:30am. There were women coming and going from the reception but no clear person working there after I'd spoken briefly to a receptionist about being overcharged. We just about managed to get a croissant each, an orange juice and a coffee - really not worth the 7,50 eur being charged and not great to basically have no choice despite arriving 30 minutes before breakfast was meant to have finished. I raised these issues via email with Accor, the day we left, and have also filled in the generic customer feedback form but have yet to receive any reply. Overall, an incredibly poor level of customer service - the lack of care for customers is blatant, it is like they've given up even trying. There are other hotels available in this area...avoid this one!

Very kind staff and warm welcome. Very calm hotel with breakfast good enough for the price. It was our third stay, so everything was as expected and additionally it was only few rooms with visitors. I will come back in following trips.

Our satnav found this hotel easily, even if it was via some tiny country lanes for the last 20 mins! Pleasant hotel with friendly staff, and with an excellent restaurant (l’Essentiel) across the road next to a Comfort Hotel. Great menu to choose from! Our room was very nice, although it had a quirky shower arrangement - a tiny cubicle separate from the loo and sink, which meant there was nowhere to dress afterwards except straight into the bedroom - meaning this room would have been unsuitable for anyone other than a couple, or very close friends! The little green nightlights over the bed did not work but flickered luminous green all night, so we had to cover our eyes! I mentioned this at reception in the morning and receptionist said it would be fixed - these things happen, i wouldn’t mark hotel down because of it. Overall, a good stopover hotel.

Fine for a one night stopover

Very cheap and very basic, but fine for an overnight stay on your way down through France and convenient for motorway. Our room was clean and comfortable, but could have done with a couple more pillows. No restaurant but we had an excellent meal at the nearby Hotel Campanile. Breakfast at the Ibis was better than expected.

we had to turn down the first 2 rooms we were offered because the drains in the Shower room stank which had pervaded the bedroom area. Other than the issue with the room, the cleanliness was average. We were disappointed with the breakfast which we have always enjoyed in the IBIS hotels, I always enjoy the coffee in France but not in this hotel, the coffee was awful. On the previous night we had stayed in IBIS Pamplona where for the same price the breakfast was excellent, ... why the difference?
