Lovely facilities a very relaxing day a little busy at times, food was OK, glasses were dirty however Staff sorted this quickly. Went for my hen doo and the staff didn't do anything extra or special for this day. No acknowledgement at all. The mud bath was brilliant.

Inadequate chefs at the grange

The hotel itself was lovely, staff were extremely friendly. The food however was inadequate, we luckily bought the package with a three course free meal included otherwise I would have been asking for my money back. The starters we ordered were creamy garlic mushrooms which had hardly any mushrooms on the bread, the sauce was bland and the calamari was hard and tasted well over cooked. In addition to the above, the main course we ordered was pork belly, the gravy was minimal and tasted like bisto, the carrots were not even peeled, mushrooms looked dehydrated with zero flavour, tenderstem brocolli was mentioned on the menu, the dish came with one minute piece. Furthermore, the salmon dish was basic, chips were okay but the salmon was over cooked, dry and had little sauce. The desserts were average, tiramisu still partially frozen on the inside, the cheese board and wine were the only part of the meal which were enjoyable and these were not sourced from the grange hotel. The manager kindly spoke to myself and offered us a £5 refund on the supplement for the pork as it was meant to be £21!! Honestly a shame because the staff were lovely, spa was great, room was good and the treatments were brilliant alongside the staff but if you are thinking of eating at this vile restaurant, think again, book the hotel and order yourself takeaway or pick one up. Clearly the chefs at this establishment are unqualified and require basic culinary training, whoever accepted them onto the team must have had no tastebuds.

Ok hotel, could be cleaner

Staff were friendly on arrival. Bedroom and bathroom were nice. Had biscuits/hot chocolate/tissues/big TV in the room. The room seemed generally clean aside from a few bits on the floor (e.g. confetti) which the vacuum must have missed. However, when I pulled the desk forwards to plug my devices in there was an inch thick dust behind it! The windows in the corridor were so drafty that even when they were shut the curtains were blowing in the hallway. But despite it being cold outside the room was still a comfortably temperature. You have to walk up a steep hill or steps to get to the main entrance from the car park. (Apart from a few disabled spaces near the entrance) Whilst it wouldn't be my first choice, I would give them another chance.

Visit to spa

Visited the spa as a Xmas present, the spa itself is a little tired and needs a good refresh, the saunas etc also need updating. Not enough beds to relax on in my opinion for if it gets busy. The lunch included was ok I feel you could provide a better range for the price and only tea and coffee available unless paying, nail bar in the café also which I thought was a little strange. I had a lovely massage and facial with Millie, she was excellent and very professional, definitely recommend her. The products used were lovely. All in all it does need a good update and probably look elsewhere when looking to book another spa experience until this has been done.

Booked a spa stay and tribute night. Arrived at 2 pm booked in with ease and welcoming. Went to spa and then to the bar ordering food. No wine Chardonnay or Pinot and no still water… ok house wine not the best but ok. Food is was nice and the service was good.Tribute night was fantastic and the meal and service excellent again. Breakfast after a very good nights sleep in a comfortable room was excellent good choices cooked breakfast.. cereals/ / yogurts / fruits. Treatments in spa very good. Overall 10/10 from us everything was fantastic from very hard working staff thank you 🙏🏿.
