The hotel is handy for the town centre and lots of restaurants nearby. I was here as part of a battlefield tour travelling by coach. Bit awkward for our coach driver who had to park quite a walk away on two nights. Rooms were very clean and very warm. Our room was at the front of the hotel so a fair bit of noise from traffic if the window was open. Good shower, TV but no tea making facilities. Bar area downstairs which was relaxing and a restaurant serving mainly pizza and pasta, did not eat here though. Breakfast was excellent, continental mainly and lots of choice but there were scrambled eggs and bacon plus boiled eggs available. Staff were very good and lots of them spoke English. A very good base for our three night stay.

Very unclean, dirty hotel

This is genuinely the worst hotel I have been to. I checked into two rooms (426B and 429C). The rooms were both very unclean. One smelled overpoweringly of stale cigarette smoke and the other smelled of urine. There were no other rooms available so we just left. The hotel still hasn't processed our refund three weeks later.

We will not thank you for your comment and lack of sincerity. None of the other comments agree with yours and that is what reassures us. Indeed you left the hotel but not as quickly as you would like us to believe. As such, if you have been the victim of a professional change, we have nothing to do with it and have no obligation to reimburse you.

CYCLING TRIP TO HOLLAND

We stayed here on Sunday 20 August. A group of 13 cyclists with myself arriving early evening. We were allowed to store our bikes in our rooms and the hotel gave me my request for a ground floor room which was much appreciated. They hotel team were so friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The facilities and location of the hotel are great and the breakfast was just what we needed to get on our way to day of cycling to Brugge. Highly recommended. Thank you very much.

Upon arrival, we were told that there would be no electricity for 3 hours. They didn't provide a courtesy email to say that this would be happening. Along with this, they did not allow us to park in the underground car park. Honestly, the whole thing was a shambles. Avoid.

What could we add... Everything is said in your email. If we had known we could have warned our customers. However, there are things that we cannot anticipate. Especially when renovating a hotel. For the parking lot, you could still have specified that it was temporarily unavailable (upon your arrival around 4 p.m. in a BMW Z4 if memory serves) but that it was made accessible to our customers from 5 p.m.! Otherwise, what did you think of your room? Service and breakfast? because opinions are also necessary to get feedback on the service sold...

Dated dirty/mouldy dump

I would not give this place any rating as a hotel hence the title of dump. If you don't worry about where you have to sleep this hotel is very close to harbour. Don't be fooled by the reception which appears bright and modern. Once you turn the corner to make your way to the bedrooms the 1st thing you notice is the appalling dirty stained disgusting carpets. The lift is extremely small and dated with a family of four needing to wait for the lift twice which took ages. Upon entering the bedroom it was obviously old dated and covered in dark coloured paint on stippled walls trying to hide the patches of mould on the walls. The bathroom was even more mouldy and shower cubicle rusty. The room was a health hazard. Consequently it did not take us long to gather up our belongings and exit thd hotel. Thankfully we had an option to cancel up to 6pm on day of arrival. I cancelled within the hotel app because I was not confident with the attitude at reception to cancel my stay and I did not want to be charged.

It is obviously possible to leave comments or opinions without having even stayed in the establishment concerned. We do not understand your motivation for such misleading and insulting remarks. It is heartbreaking that despite our requests to the Trip Advisor site, we can maintain such a bunch of lies.
