Premier lounge is worth it!

Our family went to the Sofitel for my to celebrates my wife’s birthday last week. The Hotel was very nice and clean. I think the drinks included with meals could have been made a bit clearer as we were unaware we would be hit with a bill following our meal. However this was dealt with following discussions with the managers. We all had suites and therefore had access to the premier lounge and other perks. This was very much worth the upgrade. With us having young kids we spent a lot of time in the Premier lounge who were very accommodating and good with the kids. I would like to mention Shoon, Rahul, Eie Eie and Agustina especially. They were brilliant, very attentive and always greeted us with a smile. They made the children feel at home which made it a more relaxing experience for us. Thank you - The Wallers

Recommend to all couples and families to visit sofitel the palm as one of the largest resorts on the palm and have very nice facilities, special thanks for Nasr from reception for the warm welcome. Thank you for the extra effort you put into keeping my room spotless. Your dedication does not go unnoticed!

A 5 star hotel that isn't really 5 stars in my view

Sofitel the palm is a beautiful location. Unfortunately it didn't live up to my expectations. The staff was lovely and very helpful starting with Fernando at the front desk. The room (1 br apartment) was spacious and clean. As I said the setting is gorgeous. Nice beach, nice pools. Few issues though, we had check in at 15.00, arrived at 16.15 and was told room was still not ready, so had to wait for 15/20 minutes. The food was ok, although I can't say anything I tried blowed me away. Also probably the worst mayonnaise and jams my wife and me have had ever. We ordered room service and it was decent. Had dinner at porterhouse steak house. The meat was good but very fatty (at least 30% of the slices of the tomahawk were basically white and covered in fat). I had a club sandwich when we were checking out and it had a small sharp chicken bone in it. Ofc they apologized for this and gave a small discount, but the fact that such a dangerous mistake happened in a hotel packed with kids made me question their quality control in the kitchen. All in all it's a 5 star location and offers services of a 5 star hotel but those services are not 5 star level. It's not truly a 5 star hotel in my opinion.

We are happy that we selected Sofitel Dubai The Palm for our stay.Beautiful location,ambience, the pools,the beach.Thanks for upgrading us to Signature suit .❤️.And special credit goes to ❤️Elena,Rahul,Shoon,Jia,Jaber and Manoj for making our stay more comfortable, by making extra efforts . Many vegan options and friendly staff

We came to eat at the Hong Loong restaurant after seeing that the menu had multiple vegan options. We were very impressed with the meals! They were tasty and the portions were very big. Our waitress Sandi was also super welcoming and friendly, thank you so much! Overall we had such a pleasant time and will definitely be coming back.
