Overall I am only giving 5 stars because I guess it must be hard to keep a good strandart within those level of humidity. But just to comment, it was a drop of water in the main reception with a bucket to collect water for about 3 days I stayed here, the breakfast was OK, and the last day no hot water. Thanks God the quality of the bed, and the bed sheet was amazing. I am a big fan of Mercure. The best Mercure? Not really, but again, considering the difficulties it was OK. Staff friendly too

Bugs. Not Vegetarian friendly. No English caption on TVs.

Bugs on the breakfast food. Ugly red bug crawling on my bed. No English captions or English voice-over was available on any of the TVs in any of the rooms in the entire hotel. "It's not possible," the front desk's receptionist informed me. Only CNN in English. No vegetarian options on the restaurant menu. Took a while to translate I wanted pasta with no meat and it was tasteless. I had to change rooms because of the bug. No hand soap or lotion in the bathrooms until you ask. 1 scratchy hand dry towel and 1 scratchy body towel in bathroom. Dogs barking outside both rooms I got. On my last night, I had to ask the front desk receptionist three times to quiet down the kids in the room next to me. Slow service. More issues but that's enough. Terrible experience overall.

Just not 4 stars hotel!

In this hotel is really hard to find someone who speak any other language than portuguese; they do not speak english, spanish, Italian or any other. In addition, the makes you pay an additional tax if someone comes into your room just for few time, not to sleep of course, like the room was for two people when it is for one. Really strange! One night the elevator was opening and closing the doors all the night in the floor.... I couldn't sleep. One day I go for breakfast but there was a political talk, after a few minutes of waiting (there was no place to sit) I had breakfast in the middle of this talk with many people, photografers and so... another strange moment.

You know what you are getting with the Mercure.. rated it 3 as room was run down, gym was quite dirty.. positives friendly and efficient staff, great breakfast, good location for business.. not sure of other options in the city but would stay there again

Location is great. Adrianopolis, next to the malls, restaurants etc. Other than that the hotel needs a lot of improvements. Service is also below what you'd desire. Breakfast is very limited in terms of options and service.
