Excellent service. I would like to thank specially to Isabel that helped me a lot to solve my transportation issue. The room was clean and comfortable. Quite. Perfect for somebody that want to spend one night close to the airport and don't miss early flight the next morning.

Me and my 15 yr old daughter did a night here before flying home to the UK next morning. We had been staying at Portaventura and I had been nervous about being 2 hrs travel from the airport on the day and dependent on potentially unreliable public transport. This hotel despite the description isn’t that near to the airport - about 5 miles away and the bus we transferred to (L99) doesn’t stop that near to the hotel- good 20 mins walk with suitcases in tow. But I knew some of this before and was prepared. You need your iPhone map on to find it through a number of suburb streets. As regards the hotel, it’s no frills but the staff spoke good English and my daughter now speaks conversational Spanish too which helps. They were also all very friendly. Room normal Ibis basic but fine for overnight stay and breakfast was simple continental but again fine when it’s basically grab and go you want. Looking at the bus timetables to airport next morning they were all being cancelled or delayed so we got a taxi (there’s a rank outside hotel) instead for €22. Ate at the McDonald’s adjacent to hotel and there is also a Lidl over the road., would consider using it again in similar circumstances

A nice quiet stay at this ibis given it is out of the main city centre..there are buses which get there with a bus stop right outside the hotel. Next door there is an Aldi and worse case scenario, McDonald's:)! To the room, standard and no frills. Clean and small - traveling with huge luggage is a challenge in an ibis room. The first night was bad sleep with the endless chatter outside but the hotel was able to understand and change the room which was a better location and less noise. Breakfast was very basic and ate there once and eating in the ibis on other mornings. Breakfast is to be paid. Keep it open and don't buy on check in. For getting into the city, the t-casual card for 11 euros is a great deal giving you 10 rides. Can be bought online with a physical card to be got at a metro station. The L or E buses you can buy tickets on the bus for 2.50. good stay

Newly renovated rooms, spotless, minimalistic style, nice colours, excellent condition, looked freshly painted. A larger than usual Ibis bathroom. Modern style, shower walk-in with room to move, excellent hot water pressure. Beds comfortable, good linen. No coffee or tea making facilities in room. Twin room had a small table, one chair, TV; widows able to be opened. A McDonalds next door, and an Aldi supermarket close Breakfast €7.50pp, continental buffet with a good range of food choices. Breakfast hours to suit people prior to flights. A taxi from El Prat airport €25 for 4 people, a 15 minute drive partly through open countryside. . Also the option of Public transport L99 bus from El Prat T1 (can use the Barcolona T-Casual Card on the bus.) Bus L86 goes from Ibis stop into Placa d’ Espanya in Barcelona. For more transport info google “ Area Metropolitana de Barcelona” for bus information with English Language option.

Ibis should not be allowed to call this an Aeroporto hotel - it simply is not an airport hotel located about 10 KM from the Barcelona El Prat Airport - it is deceptive advertising on a grand scale. I was mistaken when I booked the hotel thinking it was the one that I had stayed at the airport previously - which has access to 24 hour free shuttle bus to the city of Barcelona and La Rambla and so on. This hotel is located in Shitsville and going there during rush hours you are lucky to make it in 20 minutes at a cost each way or around Euro 25. The rooms are small and if you come with a couple of suitcases you will have to go outside the room to change your mind since the space inside the room is not big enough to let your mind wander. I complained to the poor staff - which by the way spoke very little English - how is this possible if it is to be an airport hotel catering towards international visitors - and yes, they agreed that IBIS should not refer to this place as an airport hotel. In summary, be warned - this is not an airport hotel - but located in a provincial suburb of Barcelona.
