Cheap and cheerful

This place is cheap, but that is the selling point. You get a clean, Spartan room with a double bed (a bit firm) and a single bunk bead on top, a sink, a plastic cup, a towel (clean and fluffy) and a TV bolted to the wall. There is no en suite shower or toilet, and not much room to sing a cat. Everything worked perfectly, everything was clean, and for a one night stop over before taking the ferry home it was the cheapest place we could find that wasn't in the middle of no where that had free car parking. The location is very dull, but actually where you need it to be, next to the large shopping centre on the edge of town. Though easy to get to it was far enough from the road to be quiet at night and we were able to get a good nights sleep without any road noise or noisy neighbours.

Easy to locate, short drive from town, check in with the automated screen on the door but if after 11pm quietness is advised as we were woken once from people arriving at 1am, shared bathroom shower toilet facilities, all in all very acceptable one night stay.

We stayed here two nights, but I'd recommend it for just one. The hotel is not far off the main road but we did struggle to find it in a quiet dark industrial estate. Had a nice welcome from the gentleman on reception. There are no keys just door codes that you punch in. Comfy bed. Now the bathrooms... it was July and hotel was full, so were the shared toilets & showers most of the time. The shower was not great, temp variable and you have to press it every 15 secs like at the pool. If you're on a tight budget and have a car, give it a try. And go into Saint-Malo old town for restaurants.

Everything was quite small, but it was handy for a quick stop over. Nice distance to Saint-Malo center and to the main roads. Easy to get to and free parking. Book en advance. Quite a few people arriving without booking on a Thursday evening had to move on.
