It wasn’t great experience, My family and I had been dreaming about visiting Egypt Since forever, and staying at Old Cataract Hotel, was a nice hotel to stay at, Or That was what we had in mind, we Arrived at noon time after an early flight from Cairo and we took a tour in Aswan, so you can imagine how tired we were, So we were met by a young woman as receptionist her name is Merven Or Marvel, that maybe she didnt like us that much for no particular reason, perhaps because we were not dressed in fancy clothes. after that long morning, She introduced herself in an inappropriate,rude way and rushed manner., speaking so fast like she was hurried to deal with other guests, that maybe dress better, i wanted to complain about her rude behavior and i couldnt find someone at the hotel to tell, i believe she shouldnt be in touch with guests by any way,.. the room was nice and clean, the location is just like heaven, the food with avarge, we had better, it was kind expensive for the quality that had been served for us. except for that young women Marvel, it Could be better

Nice variety delicious fruit. Very atmospheric location. Liked that they used leaf tea, NOT tea bags. I would have liked to have seen some movie stars there seeing as so many famous people have dined and taken tea there in the past. Other than that, all very good.

I booked a 3-night stay at the Sofitel Legend Old Cataract, and we met a guest receptionist who called Marvel. She was helping us to check in at the hotel, but it was funny that we could not understand her, as she speaks poor English, and that we had her repeat whatever she said from our guide, so we could understand what she was telling us. How such a big hotel like that, Marvel is the face of the hotel. Poor service
