the people at the reception are really nice and friendly they did not rush us and they where just lovely and she give us advice on what to do when we got to our rooms and she gave us drink vouchers to wait till the room was ready and they used polite word and manners

While I rarely bestow a perfect rating, the Novotel Darling Harbour transcends the typical hotel experience. Sure, the location is prime and the rooms immaculate, but it's the exceptional staff that elevates this hotel. Here, guests are treated not as numbers, but as valued individuals. In today's world of automation and cost-cutting, the Novotel's focus on genuine human connection is refreshing. As a tech professional, I appreciate efficiency, but there's no substitute for the warmth of a caring staff. Small gestures, like a thoughtful gift for a child, exemplify their dedication to creating unforgettable stays. The breakfast buffet exceeded expectations. Stepping into the "cafeteria" felt more like entering an upscale restaurant. The quality, quantity, and variety surpassed the usual hotel fare. Discovering a scenic waterfront jog to the Opera House after a satisfying breakfast epitomized the perfect Sydney morning. In short, my stay at the Novotel Darling Harbour, thanks to its incredible staff and Sydney's charm, was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable short vacations I've ever had.

We arrived after 24 hours travelling from the UK. The welcome was quick and very good. We had traveled to Sydney to join a cruise ship to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary, the room overlooking the harbour was excellent, and cake, card and sparkling wine from the hotel a touch we did not expect but loved. Later in the evening the reception arrived with wine and chocolate from them. This has made our day really special although most was spent on a plane. We last stayed with you in 2015 and hope to return again hopefully without a nine year gap

The positives on this hotel is:- the staff are great - we stayed for six nights and they cleaned our room everyday which was wonderful. The bar and the bar area was also great you had good choices as to where you could sit and enjoy food and a drink. Did not eat in the restaurant or use the pool. James at front desk was a breath of fresh air as was the bar staff. The downside was the rooms are very tired, our tables needed to be sent to the rubbish tip, the bathroom was tired, shower over bath is a no no - they don't show them in their pictures. We had a two double bed room with amazing views but it had an adjoining door which you could hear your neighbours very clearly at night.

We recently stayed at the Novotel on Darling Harbour for a week. We had read a few indifferent reviews on TripAdvisor before arriving but our experience was nothing but positive. We found to the hotel to be clean and the facilities to be well maintained. The bathrooms are slightly aged as pointed out in other reviews but nothing to the point that would take away from your stay in Darling Harbour. The staff throughout the hotel are excellent - all friendly, approachable and informative. We must give a special mention to Anna and Alice who we felt both went far beyond what would be the norm to make our stay that bit more comfortable. They were excellent at recommending different activities and answering any queries we may have had. The location of the hotel is perfect being only a short walk from numerous cafes, restaurants and bars while also giving a brilliant view of the Saturday night fireworks display on the water.
