Served the purpose

We stayed overnight prior to joining a cruise ship. Check in went smoothly, the staff were lovely and worked very hard covering the reception, bar and restaurant it appeared. Our room was basic, clean and satisfactory for an overnight stay. It was difficult to find somewhere close by for dinner , we tried TGI’s close by but had a 50 min wait. We went back to the hotel restaurant, which was a mistake. We waited an hour or more for food which was basic and overpriced, I felt sorry for the few staff available who were trying so hard to serve a coach party as well. The staff were lovely and apologetic , the food okay! I would stay here again if in the area, mainly for its convenience and lovely staff. I would try and source some where else to eat .

Except service and we will be back

We can't rate the hotel highly enough. The room was lovely and clean and the bed was so comfy. We were given extra pillows, which my husband was pleased with and the shower was nice and hot. The staff were lovely, especially Faye and Madi, thankyou so much. Nothing was too much trouble and they even supplied me with Soya milk which not all hotels do. Our room was cleaned even though we didn't request it, excellent service. We will definitely be back.

T.V Not Working

Stayed for 2 nights first night was good second night t.v stopped working at 11pm. Told reception and asked for complimentary breakfast in the morning due to this problem was told they would get back to me. T.v got fixed but no reply on the breakfast.

Check in staff we extremely friendly but that's about it. The room was very tired and in desperate need of updating. We had a twin room but the beds were extremely small. We had paid for breakfast which started at 7am on a Sunday. Yes we were down as soon as breakfast started as we had plans, however breakfast very poor. No hot options out and available, bread for toasting was stale. Yogurt and fruit not good. Breakfast not worth it. The lady that was attending to the breakfast (assume cook) needs to learn to smile.

Great location and very helpful staff. Need more coffee ? Not a problem just ask at reception. Cases stored securly whilst we waited for the room. Free coffe brought to us. Will certainly stay again. Train station or coach station only 5 minute walk.
