We are currently here- family of 4 and the city is great however I regret picking this hotel. We opted for something that was reasonably priced over luxury. However, even then this has not met ours standards. ROOM: The room itself if fine. Very limited space to hang clothes etc but it's expected. Beleive it or not, the rooms are baking hot even for February!!! To the point that all the chocolate the children bought melted over night. The fan in the room doesn't work. They state they have AC but these are switched off over the winter, which I know is standard across many hotels and countries. We have been sleeping with the windows open, which is fine. But then all night you can hear the noise as hotel is right on the main roads ie trams, parties etc. We asked for a free standing fan or an alternative, however they don't have any fans. We were given enough towels the first night and after been out all day exploring with children we have come back to find, half of our towels are dirty! BREAKFAST our son as a number of food allergies so we carry a lot items with us. However, nothing is labelled in tbe Breakfast buffet. We constantly had to ask what foods have egg, milk or nuts in them. And pretty much everything bar the fruit and cereal has those. No soya/oat milk but we took our own. Overall the variety is minimal however our daughter is happy as she gets to just have the pancake and Nutella! Pretty disappointed. Honestly just thought the standards would be better. We wouldn't choose to stay here again.

Did you call reception so that one of our technicians could check that the heating was at 0? If so, did you ask for a change of room so that you could enjoy your nights more? We are sorry about the lack of towels in the rooms and their state of cleanliness. This does not reflect the quality of our service and we will be tightening up our procedures in the future. Did you leave the do not disturb label? Make sure you remove it when you leave the room to ensure that the room is cleaned during your absence and that the towels are changed at the same time. The room was spacious, modern, and quite clean. The neighborhood was very quiet but lacked dining or drinking options. The metro station is almost 1 km away. A major issue with the hotel is the breakfast; it was very poor, even for a 2-star hotel, let alone a 4-star one. They rarely replenished the breakfast items, and only upon request. I was really disappointed with the breakfast offering.

We had a surprisingly pleasant stay at the Mercure Porte de Versailles. Some of the reviews below are not very complimentary and we were a bit worried but the hotel is really nice and in a chilled residential area of Paris. Breakfast was excellent - with an amazing choice of fruit, cheeses, cooked meats and even a pancake machine. We enjoyed our breakfast there every day - many thanks to the amazing breakfast teak staff who worked tirelessly every morning. It’s a busy hotel with many guests. There was a great selection of hot drinks (Nespresso coffee and tea). Speaking of food and drinks, the bar / cafe in the hotel is lovely too. I would recommend room service food - we had really nice tea and coffee at the bar and room service dinner (recommend the cooked meats selection (enough for two)). The rooms were spotlessly clean - again, compliments to the cleaning staff! The standard of their work is impressive! The beds were faultlessly made and the rooms were also super clean! Thank you! Nuxe hand soap and shower gel plus Kusmi tea - felt very spoit!! Finally, a couple of negative points: Yes, the paper cups mentioned below and not having means to transport water from the cooler down the corridor to your room - not great! The hotel should provide glass or metal bottles for people to take 0.5 litre or a litre back to their room. We made multiple trips (and used the kettle in the end to transport water for all of us in the room). There was a slightly unpleasant drainage perhaps smell in our bathroom when we arrived. Perhaps this is unavoidable; we chose to ignore it as we were too tired to move after our travel. Finally, reception - generally, very friendly and welcoming, some super helpful receptionists there. Unfortunately, one of them was rather rude to a member of our party who tried to book a taxi. She was short-tempered and condescending when all that she was asked to help with was to book a taxi. We considered talking to the hotel manager but a) had no idea who they were (they might have even been this rude individual) and b) decided to try and not spoil our break. This happened at the start of our stay. All I would suggest to the hotel manager is remind all their reception staff is that they should treat all their guests with respect and politeness, especially when all you are asked is to book a taxi. Surely that is not too much to ask for if you work in hospitality. Would still stay here again but wish our experience had not been soured a bit by the rude, impatient receptionist. PS Recommend the 15th Boulevard bistro near the hotel for food - amazing pizza, salad and nice ice cream. PPS We noticed that the windows open fully even on high floors which we found unsettling as that’s not child-safe.

Excellent hotel for business or even a family week-end. Excellent breakfast and dinner. Even if it is probably the usual parisian price, the parking is a little to expensive : 20€/night. A groud floor too crowdy and noisy. However, the rooms are well equipped, clean and silent.

Stayed for a conference. Reception service was chaotic, super slow check in and my colleague had problems with a leaky bathroom they didn’t rush to resolve. Strange system where there are no glasses in the room, you have to pay for a plastic bottle that leaked, and my room was noisy next to the lift.
