Great stay away from Amsterdam Central hustle and bustle

The room was great, it was spacious for two people, the view was just looking onto the road but I didn't mind this nor was I expecting anything spectacular! We decided to stay in this hotel rather than in Amsterdam Central as we wanted quietness and away from the hustle and bustle and it was exactly that. The hotel is a short walk (7 mins) from a Dominos and we did enjoy that one evening. The tram line is also under a 10 min walk which takes you into the central within no time. The breakfast was ok - as a Brit I like tea and it wasn't strong enough so I had to put two bags into the mug to taste the flavour. The breakfast is all cold, I didn't mind this for the short stay we had but it would of been nice to have a toaster! Overall a nice stay. Great bed!!!

Cleaning crew does not get enough time.

The cleaning service is unacceptable. The bathroom and shower walls were dirty on arrival (many yellow, brown and grey spots that could be removed with a wet cloth - example attached). During the stay the room was not cleaned at all - only the towels were changed - bed, bathroom surfaces, sink and toilet were in the exact same state as I left them.

Odaya sabun koymanin yildiz sayisiyla ilgisi olur mubya ? Bir tame sabun koyarsın.. sac kurutma makinesi yok, terlik yok, sabun yok, kahvalti yetersiz, konum her yere uzak. Uber çağır 10 tanede bir tanesi geliyor. Her şeyiyle kötü bir konaklamaydı. Bir daha hiçbir güç konaklatamaz beni.

Basic but modern

I had a good stay at this hotel, having staying in many Ibis Budgets before, I knew what to expect-modern but basic. I didn't mind this as we only needed the hotel to sleep after exploring all day and gladly, the bed was so comfy. The room has no storage really except some hangers but we used the window sill to but our bags. We had a Table and 2 stools also in our room. The shower room was clean enough (bar some marks on the walls). You only get 2 towels for a double room, no handtowel and 2 tubes of hair/body wash (no hand wash). I knew this from staying in other Ibis so I brought my own shampoo etc. I paid a 20euro deposit for a hairdryer at reception and there are ironing facilities in the basement. Hotel lobby has a fab venting area with lots of drinks,snacks & toiletries. The location was about 25 mins from the centre on the 5 tram so easy to navigate. No issues with the staff. All in all I would stay here again as it was significantly cheaper than the other hotels just bare in mind that it's budget.
