Budget Accommodation in Location Convenient to Attractions and Transit

The pros of this apparthotel are its location & front desk staff. During my stay in Oct.23, an enormous construction site was the unfortunate view from my little balcony. Workers showed up a 7 Am, a bus stop was below the window, & a scooter rental next door made for plenty of noise. My studio was on Blvd. Risso, so the suites facing the courtyard were far better. Front desk supplies toaster, iron, ironing board etc. if you need them; otherwise, dishes, coffee maker, kettle, a few pots & pans & tools are there for food prep & even cleaning. As is usual in apparthotels, service to change bedding & clean floors was once every 6-8 days. The bed was comfortable & the furniture rather beat up. This is not one of the newer Adagios, nor is it a premium one. The hallways were esp. beat up. Walk to Old Nice, supermarket, public transit at Place Garibaldi, plenty of restaurants & bars. Beware ~ some of my stuff was stolen while on public transit!!

OK, so first of all I would say this property is one step up from a back packers. It's not bad. But it's just not great. The room was OK. Kind of small with a very average bathroom. Unfortunately out air conditioning stopped working in the middle of the night which sucked big time. The staff were friendly enough and the facilities at the property were fine. There was free wifi and a pool that we didn't use. There was a laundry that cost 2 EUR for drying and 5 EUR for the washing machine. A little steap. The location was OK. Pretty close to a tram station but it's a decent walk to the beach. I would say quality let this place down but it got the job done for a night.

I haven't stayed at the hotel personally but I have been in contact with the hotel to book a room for my colleague. Fran from reception has taken a good care of me on the phone and made sure my booking was secure while also checking in guests, she was very patent and very welcoming! Want to say a very official well done and thank you for helping me during our call!

Overall a very positive experience. Close to 2 tram lines. Restaurants, shopping, and activites are near. 10 minutes walk to the old city. The room was comfortable and quiet even though it faced a busy street. There were enough electrical outlets and the lighting was good. The individual aircon was welcome and effective. The buffet breakfast was typical for European budget to midrange hotels. There is only one elevator to serve 7 floors, so patience is required. It wasn't as nicely appointed as the Adagio I stayed at in Paris, but it was fine for the money during high season on the Cote d'Azur. I feel the room looked a little plain and could use a little more decoration to liven it up. The bathroom was a little tight and the shower cabin will be difficult for large people. I think the bath towels should be larger. Oddly, we had 3 pillows instead of 4 for two people. The rooftop pool, though not big, was nice. Some loungers and umbrellas would be a great addition. One tip for Nice in the summer: it is very hot and can be very humid. Make sure to book a place with aircon. You'll need it.

Well located.....easy access from the airport with the tram. Spacious studio with balcony..Nespresso coffee machine : top ! Very good choices for the breakfast & the ladies are very helpful with the smile ... Thx's to all ...I will come back to visit Nice
