This Mercure hotel leaves a lot to be desired. Close to the main shopping strip but the room is very tight for two people. No iron and no milk for tea & coffee in rooms. Breakfast area quite nice and standard buffet options, however no cooked eggs to order. Coffee not to Australian standards.

403 nolu odada konakladık. Oda ilk gün ısınmadı, ek ısıtıcı istemek zorunda kaldık. Odada sinek vardı. Ütü talep ettik, ütünün tabanı yanmıştı. Kıyafetimize zarar verdi. Kahvaltı sıcak seçenekleri her gün aynıydı.

Pleasant stay in an enjoyable, comfortable and modern hotel. Staff very friendly, excellent localization, delicious and complete breakfast in a restaurant with a stunning view. In-room amenities, with bathtub, shower and everything you need for your total comfort, as toothbrush, vanity set, shower cap etc. Everything perfect!

It was generous to upgrade us to a room with a drinks bar and a pretty view of Old City although we found the air-conditioning did not work after unpacking. We were moved to a new room. The room was not very clean especially under the bed. The gluten-free offering for breakfast was limited. The phones in the old and new rooms did not work so it was a hassle to ask for something at the reception. It would be five stars if those minor areas get resolved.

Hotel is in a great location. Central to everything you need. Conveniently located, short walking distance to the major attractions, restaurants and cafes. Smooth check in. Got upgrade for one room as the other room was already the family suite. The suite did not have a nice view. The view straight out from the window was the ugly wall of next door building. Apparently all the family suites have the same views. It’s disappointing to check into your suite and find such a view. Generally suites have a very good view. Good, friendly service throughout the hotel thoug. All staff were helpful and attentive. When you request something from house keeping they come really fast. The walls between rooms must be quite thin coz every time next door flush toilet or shower you can hear the water. As a Platinum member we were given complementary mini bar. Which was much appreciated. As we don’t drink alcohol, we swapped the alcohol and some soft drinks for bottled water which they were flexible with. It’s nice to come to a European Accor group hotel and the Platinum status is recognised. One small thing that could add more value to the stay is if when guests book multiple rooms, you give them welcome drinks for each room booked. This is the first hotel where they only give one drink voucher for multiple rooms booking. Highly recommend and will definitely stay here again when in Porto. Thank you Mercure Santa Catarina for an enjoyable stay.
